A woman is accusing Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of attempting to sexually assault her by locking her in a room and forcing himself on her at a party while they were both in high school.
Kavanaugh, in a statement to The New Yorker, which broke the details of the encounter, denied the claim.
I categorically and unequivocally deny this allegation, he said. I did not do this back in high school or at any time.
The woman, whose identity is still not public, sent Rep. Anna Eshoo (D-Calif.) and Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) a letter in the summer, after Kavanaugh was nominated, sharing her concerns about him.
The allegation dates back to the early nineteen-eighties, when Kavanaugh was a high-school student at Georgetown Preparatory School, in Bethesda, Maryland, and the woman attended a nearby high school. In the letter, the woman alleged that, during an encounter at a party, Kavanaugh held her down, and that he attempted to force himself on her

Judge Kavanaugh has been somewhat prominent for 20+ years now but she just now remembers this? Sounds like Anita Hill.
True. I bet we don’t have to go far find find a link to Gloria Allred somewhere in this story.
Never Happened
The Rats purpose is to make it so miserable for any non-Rat to be in government that only Rats will apply.
I hope women are seeing that they are, as a group, losing credibility on things like this.
Kavanaugh, and many others (Duke Lacross; Clarence Thomas, for example) are clearly bogus allegations. That vague and subjective ‘sexual impropriety’ is far too often being used as a weapon to take someone down instead of a legitimate offense.
We need a firm statute of limitations on such unprovable allegations.
If she didn’t complain to the police or other authority within a few days of it happening, preferably a few hours, then it will be assumed to not have happened.
Virtually every room locks from the inside. This accusation is BS.
This site is becoming like LA Times, where every other story is meant to slam or discredit Trump 24/7 nonstop.
It sure gets old.
Yahoo of course.
the dems obviously didn’t have time to construct a whole “dossier” for this hit job.
“Rather odd she is reporting this now, n’est pas?”
Rather odd you are reporting this now.
Agree. Its been the trend throughout right media. If I ever want to know what CNN,MSNBC or the VIEW has to say on a subject I would just watch Hannity or many times here. Not sure if its a lack of news sites with the ability to report on content related to the accomplishments of the President or right media can only complain and be outraged 24/7. Definetly drives me away from all of it for months at a time...too negative.
The first reports said the letter was sent by a third party, someone "affiliated with Stanford University," who claimed "to have knowledge" of the alleged incident. This needs to be pinned down.
I remember three women from HS with first and last name.
Two are dead, the third was my first crush and I hope she is well!
Graduating class of 550.
This is absolutely despicable. These people are evil and care about nothing but power.

I only remember one woman from high school; shortly after I enlisted I asked her to marry me, she said yes.
She Dear John’d me while I was at Khe Sahn.
I got 2 letters while in The Corps, the first was my Dear John, my second was from the Draft Board telling me to report for duty.
Life is truly WEIRD.
