Five dozen women who went to high school with Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh have written a letter to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley and Ranking Member Dianne Feinstein backing his character.
"We are women who have known Brett Kavanaugh for more than 35 years and knew him while he attended high school between 1979 and 1983. For the entire time we have known Brett Kavanaugh, he has behaved honorably and treated women with respect. We strongly believe it is important to convey this information to the Committee at this time," the letter states. "Brett attended Georgetown Prep, an all-boys high school in Rockville, Maryland. He was an outstanding student and athlete with a wide circle of friends. Almost all of us attended all girls high schools in the area. We knew Brett well through social events, sports, church, and various other activities. Many of us have remained close friends with him and his family over the years."

Actually they mobilized last night (according to Victoria Hume, a signee to the letter), after word of the allegation / letter was leaked......
so long, Difi!
I guess I was mistaken in my belief that he went to an all-boys prep school. But that said Dianne Feinstein's pulling a generations-old anonymous accusation out of her briefcase is ridiculous.
looks like anonymous isn’t going to cut it anymore. Feinstein should be challenged to get the woman to reveal herself, and Feinstein herself advocating no anonymous tips will be used by the committee unless reviewed by the gang of 8.
THAT is even more impressive!
He did go to an all-boys prep school. The letter says the girls went to nearby schools and knew him from sports, church, and social events.
That’s interesting.
I went to a coed high school, and I doubt that many women knew me or remembered my name.
Late bloomer, I guess.
If they wanted to go back to my high-school days they’d have no problem finding women willing to trash me. I was, how you say, a bad breaker-upper in those days.
I could not handle rejection. Then I ended up in a job where I had to make 250 cold-calls a week.
Not a problem for me any longer.
An article from the Daily Mail posted earlier here on FR claimed the woman said that Kavanagh and his schoolmate locked the door and played loud music so that no one could hear her screams while they tried to rape her. So, do THEY have a copy of Feinstein’s letter, which according to the story yesterday, came NOT from the woman, but one of her “friends”.
And, please do tell, does ANYONE seriously think that THAT letter would have NOT come out during the confirmation hearings?
This whole stunt Feinstein’s is stinks to high heaven!!!
Further more, he is clearly homophobic.
(Geez, I've been in the Bay Area too long. I'm starting to think like the loony leftists out here!)
I think this is really all about giving Claire McCaksill, Joe Manchin, and possibly Susan Collins cover so they can vote no.
What would be interesting is if the “media” reporters such as Howard Kurtz would call out Feinstein for what this is: participating in a desperate hoax to smear a good man for political reasons... but Howie is a lefty and won’t. He even wrapped himself in the first amendment to try to defend gawker’s “right” to publish a sex tape with zero news value.
Of course it is... not sure how that would work for Manchin, though, since he defended Franken and there was photographic evidence of him groping LeeAnn Tweeden when she was sleeping.
Wow. That shows a lot about his character. Are there even ex-girlfriends in that bunch of 35?
Democrats love their “invisible friends.” Gephardt had his pro-tax billionaire; Reid had his anonymous little boyfriend in Lighthouse; Feinstein now has her invisible informant; and on and on.
If you line up feinstein’s character alongside Kavanaugh’s, she loses every time. For starters, Kavanaugh never (most likely knowingly) hired a spy from a foreign country inimical to the US interests in exchange for lots of money. Then take it from there.
At least we know he is a heterosexual.
