He was in business with Roger Stone and he worked with Trump for nearly thirty years. He's been in business with unsavory tyrants all over the world. Many of them laundered money through New York City. There is a great deal of suspicion that up to 1600 apartment owned by Trump were used to launder Russian mafia money. Mueller most likely can get Manafort to give him Roger Stone. Stone is suspected of being the go between for Wikileaks/Putin(the GRU)/Team Trump for the hacked emails and information used to target certain voters. Remember, we're in a place where Trumpian propaganda and talk show hosts presenting sophistries no longer matter. Attacking others as Never Trumpers when you hear things you don't want to hear doesn't work in courts. Witches are going on the endangered species list. For Mueller, there are these felony convictions: 1) Mike Flynn 2) George Papadopoulos 3) Rick Gates 4) Michael Cohen 5) Paul Manafort.

Principled and thoughtful conservatives must ask themselves these questions. Why did we trust Trump? Why didn't we see that he had a sordid biography? Why did we decide that character did not matter? Why do we still pretend that everything is fine?

Trump's pick of Manafort was identified immediately as a dangerous act. None of this was unforeseeable. We need to see with our eyes and act like the truth still matters. Or allow Trump to ruin the conservative movement. The rule of law still matters. Trump's tweets won't save him.

The “conservative movement” as led by the Bush family? And yes, you’ve been a never Trump guy since he announced his candidacy. Not attacking you, it’s the truth.

Well, keep watching for trouble in the Conservative movement. I’m an independent and chose Trump because he is no coward and is able to withstand the drive to destroy him, his ability to govern, our confidence in his agenda, his children’s lives, his wife’s life, his Cabinet member’s lives, his Supreme Court nominees’s lives, his corporation’s life and the thousands and thousands of employees who make an honest living working for it. You get the picture. After 8 years of Obama, the racist no one dared called racist, Trump is doing exactly what no one else could have done: remain standing, resolved to defend his life, liberty, reputation while continuing to plan and execute a Capitalist revival of progress and prosperity for me and mine and yours.
So keep a watchin! Someone’s got to do that very tough job.

This, in no way, touches Trump.

You speak of “principles,” yet, you smear an innocent man because you find him “sordid,” his words “sophistries,” whose supporters deemed “character” must not matter.

You have no credibility. You have no rational argument. You simply have a smear based on a hunting expedition that would, if turned on you, leave you in prison for years on similar process or other crimes, as well.

You are an empty suit seeking to appear occupied by an intelligent being while the rest of us see you for what you are.

Are you sure he worked with Trump? Because according to Wikipedia, Manafort introduced himself to trump in February of 2016, to try to get a job. His selling point was that he had worked on the campaigns of EVERY REPUBLICAN PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE.

Yep, Manafort worked for George Bush Sr., Bob Dole, Ronald Reagan, and Gerald Ford. This was not some “sleazeball” that Trump knew and gave a job — Manafort was the Establishment’s Establishment person, someone everybody knew and apparently trusted.

Trump hired him specifically to handle the convention delegate process. In June, when the primary campaign wound down, Trump made him campaign chair specifically to drive the delegates home since people were threatening to steal them.

He fired him when he found out about his russian dealings.
