98 percent of families who illegally entered the US in 2017 are still here
Washigton Examiner ^ | September 12, 2018 | Anna Giaritelli

Newly released government data shows 98 percent of families who were apprehended after illegally entering the United States from Mexico in fiscal year 2017 were never deported and remain in the country.

In that fiscal year, which ended Sept. 30, 2017, 94,285 people unlawfully crossed the southwest border from Mexico and claimed to be a "family unit" from El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras, according to Department of Homeland Security information shared with the Washington Examiner.

Of that group, around 1,500 people have been removed from the country, or about 1.5 percent of the total.

DHS spokeswoman Katie Waldman said legal "loopholes" that mandate families not be held more than 20 days by DHS have allowed people to avoid facing consequences for trespassing because they are not prosecuted, and instead are released.

“Because of restrictive judicial orders and catch and release loopholes that leave us with no recourse for removal, we are seeing a record number of family units apprehended at the southwest border," Waldman said in an email to the Washington Examiner.

What is “amazing” about a 98 percent failure rate?

What a scam!! From another article:

'The administration appeared to move to address that on Tuesday, when it announced that it will triple the size of a temporary “tent city” in Tornillo, Tex., to house up to 3,800 children through the end of the year. Immigrant advocates and members of Congress reacted to the news with distress, because conditions are comparatively harsh in such large overflow facilities, compared with traditional shelters.

Facilities like the one in Tornillo are also more expensive to operate, according to Representative Rosa DeLauro of Connecticut, the ranking Democrat on the House Appropriations subcommittee that funds the shelter program. She said such facilities cost about $750 per child per day, or three times the amount of a typical shelter.'

Probably most of them. I am willing to bet not many Indian H-1B’s are going home either once their visas are up and they’ll sponsor some of their own to come here through chain migration before their green cards expire and the cycle continues into perpetuity until there is no country left. The U.S. is now one big worldwide free-for-all for everyone except those of us who are here by birthright. We get to pay for it all. This is what I am seeing and hearing anyway.

It was announced this week that 39 million SSN# were fraudulently used last year by illegals. Either these illegals are using multiple IDs or there are a few more than 11 million illegals here.

They also declared that it costs $97,000.00 to settle an illegal child and 129 million for a family. Maybe citizens should be granted $97,000.00 when they have a child and they wouldn't have to import one.

We kill ours and adopt theirs. We don't really want to be America anymore.

Re: “It is flat out amazing what Trump has accomplished given the opposition he is facing.”

On the immigration issue, Trump has accomplished very little.

Since 80% of new immigrant citizens vote for the Democrat Party, immigration is the ONLY issue that matters.

Helpful....

(1) Trump has aggressively pursued immigrant criminals.

(2) Trump reduced Obama’s refugee quota from 110,000 to 45,000. However, the most refugees Obama ever brought in was 85,000.

(3) Trump set a time limit for the end of Temporary Protected Status (TPS). Unfortunately, he will allow almost everyone on TPS (more than 300,000) to apply for a change of status, with the help of taxpayer funded lawyers.

(4) Trump revoked the Obama visa that allowed the spouse of a H-1B visa holder to work in the USA. Trump also made the requirements to renew a H-1B visa more strict.

Bad, Worse, and Terrible...

(1) Trump allowed “Catch and Release” to continue for 15 months. He tried to stop it only after it became widely known.

(2) Trump has done very little on the Foreign Work Visa issue. The current number of legal foreign workers is about 1.5 million, which is equal to Obama’s number in 2016.

(3) In 2015, Trump promised to end DACA his first day in office. Everyone assumed that meant he was going to enforce the law and deport them. Whoops. Instead, Trump offered Amnesty to 2.4 million DACAs (aka - Democrats) in exchange for the Border Wall, which he had already promised to build.

(4) No tangible progress on The Wall. Current border arrests have increased almost every month for the last year.

(5) Obama handed out 1 million to 1.5 million Green Cards per year. Trump is on track to hand out more than 1.1 million Green Cards (aka - Democrats) in the last 12 months.

(6) Workplace Enforcement - five months ago, Trump had fewer workplace raids and arrests than Obama did. As the November election approached, Trump's raids and arrests suddenly surged.

Bottom Line....

If Conservatives do not hold Trump's feet to the political fire on the immigration issue, who will?

That is infuriating. And if they are using SSNs, chances are many of them are voting.
