Reddit banned its largest community focused on the fringe conspiracy theory Qanon on Wednesday, claiming the subreddit was cut off “due to repeated violations of the terms of our content policy.”
The community, called /r/GreatAwakening, had more than 71,000 subscribers making over 10,000 comments on average per day before it was banned. A backup subreddit, /r/the_greatawakening, was also banned, along with 17 other Qanon focused communities, including r/BiblicalQ and r/Quincels.
The subreddit, which is a term for the common interest groups that make up Reddit, has been host to a stream of violent threats based on the conspiracy theory — despite repeated calls from the community’s moderators urging them to stop, particularly in recent weeks. Qanon devotees falsely believe that President Donald Trump is secretly waging a war with special counsel Robert Mueller to take down a global pedophile ring led by Hollywood celebrities and the Democratic Party, most notably Hillary Clinton.
Threats to kill Clinton pervaded GreatAwakening earlier this month when users were incensed by a Qanon-based theory that she was somehow causing military planes to fall out of the sky. GreatAwakening members implored the community to “kill all enemies”

Threats to kill your enemy usually precede the start of a war. The left has already verbally committed itself to killing gunowners, patriots, deplorables and conservatives. The American left has already been very efficient in building an industrial-size killing machine to murder babies.
There’s no stopping the inevitable. War is imminent.
What they don’t mention is a standard procedure on reddit where opponents post hate posts, etc on the sub, snap a screenie before mods can remove and then send a complaint to the site mods.

yep, that is what I think, too.
I haven’t followed the Q posts, but there seems to be an all out assault by the leftist site owners and media to stop any opinion that differs from their own.
I think Trump should give them a strong dose of socialism and have some great conservative contract workers replicate all the lefty sites but with a .gov extension, open algorithms and some type of proof of anti-censorship (if non violent), no tracking and no ads.
Kick their socialist loving donkey butts where it hurts.

Even aside from the Q poster itself (?) the community has been diligent in the same way ours is in finding those facts which ruin leftist lies (e.g., the Ra’th’er fakenews).

Nice overview! I was there regularly as an interested observer, and my experience of activities matches your description. Big Tech has made their choice, and they will manufacture or lie about violations as needed to justify silencing anything “not leftist”, which can include libertarians/Bernie-bots/conspiracy fans etc.
Just because people think they aren’t “Republicans”, doesn’t mean they can’t find themselves attacked for being straying from the lefts “narrative plantation”.
I just go to reddit for the naked women er... I mean the cheerleaders er... photos of women in bikini’s er... the news of the world yes the news that’s it....

I was subscribed. Didn’t go there on a daily basis but I did visit and read quite a bit and Never saw these threats of violence they’re talking about.
I imagine they’d love to pull The_Donald subreddit but would probably ignite a shitstorm if they did. It wouldn’t surprise me if they pulled it before Oct.
It will surprise me if The_Donald sub is still there for the 2020 elections.
All the rest of reddit is anti-Trump leftist freaks.
