House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) told CNN’s Christiane Amanpour on Monday that she is “confident” that Democrats will win the midterm elections on November 6 and that she will be elected Speaker of the House.
Pelosi added that while she did not want to talk about impeaching President Donald Trump, she also did not oppose the idea, if “the facts are there.”
Pelosi served as speaker from 2007-2011, the first woman to hold the post. She pushed Obamacare through Congress, infamously saying, “We have to pass the [health care] bill so that you can find out what’s in it.” Her stance cost her party control of the U.S. House in the 2010 midterm elections.

OK, I will put this right out there. I am Canadian. Now Canada is very left wing, but no party that has ever, in the last 30 years, promised to increase taxes, ever been elected. They may very well lie to get elected and THEN raise taxes but would never run on it. How does a party in the US run on tax hikes and get elected?
I am starting to lean to the camp of not believing the polls. So what to watch will be the actual results of elections like yours in the next couple months. If Democrats prevail then I would lose hope in the electorate.

I’m kind-of there, too. I believe in extreme voter fraud by Democrats much more than I believe the polls. That’s why we need to vote, no matter what, to make the margin so large that their certain cheating won’t make a difference.

I have come across many liberals on blogs who deny that. Don’t know if they are being dishonest or really don’t know about how much Democrats cheat.
Just curious...do they have "trust funds" in Canada? There are many,*many* Baby Boomers living within 40 miles of I-95 and I-5 (IOW,the east and West Coasts) who have them.It means that they're living off of Mommy's and Daddy's legacy.Add to that the huge number of welfare parasites living in those same places and you have "yes,absolutely raise taxes".
Just as an aside...in Massachusetts there's a line on the state income tax return that gives a taxpayer the option to pay his taxes at a rate *higher* than that required by state law.IOW,you're able to "donate" money to the state.
In a state of about 6 million,a state that's elected the likes of Teddy,John Kerry and Princess Liawatha,only about 200 returns a year have that box checked.
