Two people were arrested after authorities said they tried to poison their co-worker at a small BMW dealership in Toronto. Szilard Czippan was charged with attempted murder and administering a noxious substance while Rahim Jaffer is only facing the latter charge.
The two men were captured on surveillance cameras taking the water bottle of a manager at the dealership and filling it with engine coolant. When the manager took a sip, he immediately realized that his water had been replaced and he drove to a pharmacy to get a charcoal pill. He then went to the hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
A spokesperson for BMW Toronto told CTV News that employees were shocked that something like this could happen.
“It is a small dealership, a family environment where there is a certain level of intimacy. A trust was broken. [Employees] are surprised and shocked."
Police have not said why the two men plotted to poison their manager and are continuing to investigate.
“Jackasses should be lynched.”
Were it me, being lynched would be the second worse nightmare.
Even a small amount of antifreeze can cause renal failure. Maybe not immediately, but damage will show up down the road.

One of those things that makes me wonder why attempted murder is punished lighter than outright murder. Especially in this case - which was planned and premeditated- oh but they didn’t get away with it so 10 years instead of 20...

Yes. The estate has long been settled, and we both got what our parents’ had originally intended. She has no legal claim whatsoever to any of my assets should anything happen to me...and she knows that. I guess the only reason she would have to come after me now would be out of pure vengeance and retaliation for what happened to her, and she is probably crazy enough to try that. When I say bat shite crazy, I mean bat shite crazy. I have not seen, or had any contact, with her for years now, but I certainly wouldn’t put anything past her.
