James Dobson, a counselor to five presidents, author of dozens of books, founder of both Family Talk and the James Dobson Family Institute and member of the National Radio Hall of Fame, is urging Americans to do their duty, rise up and confront the “deep state” in Washington.
He describes the problem without using the term “deep state.” He speaks instead of “unelected bureaucrats” and “activist judges” who are widely considered to be the core of the problem.
And he explains the nation’s Founders provided the answer, in Article V of the Constitution, where allows for a Convention of the States.
It’s the alternative to proposing amendments to the U.S. Constitution that must be ratified by two-thirds of the states.
In a statement released Monday by the James Dobson Family Institute with Tim Clinton and Jenna Ellis, Dobson says: “Unfortunately, an insidious power grab has been underway in our nation’s capital for many years and it has inflicted great damage upon our constitutional republic. Unelected bureaucrats, activist judges, and the ever-expanding scope, reach and invasion of the federal government into the lives of all Americans has far surpassed what our Founders ever intended.”
Clinton, the institute’s executive director and co-host of Family Talk, is a licensed counselor who has authored or edited nearly 30 books. Ellis, director of the Dobson Policy Center, is a constitutional law attorney and a contributor to the Washington Examiner, Daily Wire and the Federalist.
“Thankfully the drafters of our Constitution built in safeguards to restore the size of government to its proper limits through amendments as outlined in Article V of the U.S. Constitution,” the statement says.

The man is spot on.
Limits to the size and scope of government are ALREADY in the U.S. Constitution. It’s called the Tenth Amendment. The individual states need to enforce it. Because they haven’t done so is the PRIMARY reason we are in the mess we are in.
Many millions of people will listen to him far more than any blowhard in Washington DC

Excellent point... There is no legal structural fix to an outlaw problem.
I think it’s worse when government is outlaw than when gangs are outlaw — for we expect so much less of gangs.
This is what we see when an attempt to fix a spiritual problem is made by the “power of man.”
I’ve been busy and expect, God’s grace permitting, to keep busy as long as I can telling people this. Conflate the business of Christ with the business of politics and the result is truly a hell of a mess. Then we wonder why government looks like Dante’s rings of hell.

It was already doomed when fought on that front (a “culture war”). Old fashioned spiritual war needs to come back to the forefront of Christian attention. Culture goodness or badness depends on spirituality no less.
Dobson was always a very cautious guy in his stances so to hear him speak in such a manner is quite bold for him!
BTW, they failed to mention in the intro that he also started focus on the family. It’s still going strong!!
I remember him when he first started out. He aired his program out of a closet in his house. I remember being very excited when they opened the facility in Colorado springs. And a couple of his books saved the lives of one of my kids and myself. That strong willed child turned out to be ultra strong-willed!

He may be speaking boldly since Trump signed the Ex. Order that the church/pastors could speak freely about politics without losing their 501c3 status.

Now the challenge is to use that freedom wisely. If it were me, I’d point out that this deep state phenomenon is no more than a reflection of a manifestation of the powers of hell. The way to ameliorate a deep state problem is to face the powers of hell problem head on in the power of Christ.

Sometimes cases of wickedness arise that are simply mind boggling. If we wanted evidence that there is a devil, they seem to argue pretty strongly for it.
