California has only created a temporary problem. As Dr. Ian Malcolm said, "Life finds a way."

Business is very much like a living organism. It will find a way.

I used to be in the business of getting around onerous legislation. There is almost always a way.

The real problem for CA is that it keeps creating an image problem for itself.

Serve bottled water water. Charge $25 each which includes a free haircut.

Guys a hair shaver from Walmart is $13 and finishing scissors on Ebay are $8.

You’ll get really good after going it about 5 times.

I give myself a haircut every single week and it costs me NOTHING.

If I still don’t like it? I dink around with it more and I don’t feel like I’m being picky:

The barber is ME.

Would you pay someone to brush your teeth?

i think it is way bigger than barbers.

PG&E hires contractors to do what their linemen are capable of. I think they farm out line inspectors, meter readers, etc. Technically, they will have to take them all on as employees.

I have not seen an actual AT&T guy in years. They are all contractors now.

What about truckers who lease their rigs or sub for larger businesses?

When the city water company contracts for a new pipeline? At one time, that was done by the utility.

At auto repair shops and some dealreships, the mechanics are independents now. Will they have to be hired?

There are tons of positions like this.

I guess the price of a haircut is going up significantly.

There is nothing, absolutely nothing, that the government won’t screw up.

...What are you going to pay them you know, minimum wage?” said Victory Ink Tattoo owner Ristina Rodriguez.

I wonder who this owner votes for - I would guess Team Blue.

I sell imprinted promotional products and have been an independent contractor for over 35 years.
The majority of us are family businesses. If everyybody in the business was forced to turn their contractors into employees they would have to go out of business.

One of the great things about being an independent contractor is you can do everything the way you want to do it. And if you don’t work you don’t make any money.

So, are California Supreme Court justices “Employees” or “Independent Contractors”?

Solution - big box building divided into small areas that have different services but all have something to do with health and beauty. Massage, barber, tattoo, etc.

Someone had to bring an action. The State Supreme Court didn’t do this without a case! Nothing in the article says who the plaintiff was, but I am betting it was Brown’s Clowns or the worthless Legislature, or most likely both. And I will bet you it has to do with two things: Money and control of these people’s lives.

The Left does not believe in people achieving success through their own hard work and ambition. They believe in wage slaves who owe any pittance to unions. Unions that heavily support the Democrats.

I hope this is overturned. As the criteria set to determine their status is one that I have never read of before. Usually being truly independent as these barbers were was enough to classify them as independent contractors. There are employers who really do skate on very thin ice when it comes to employee vs independent contractor status but this hardly applies here.

I saw the headline and thought that the state was kinda severe in not letting them harmonize.

back in the day, a golfer couldn’t take a college golf scholarship cause he would lose his amateur eligibility. Golfers were then offered partial football\baseball etc...scholarships.

They don’t like their fascism and socialism when it directly messes with their personal lives?

Shocking. Just shocking.

But I bet they cheered when the state courts fuched over the baker to bake the damn queer cake.
