Former President Obama on Friday lamented the state of politics today, calling out his successor, Donald Trump, by name as he started his push to ramp up Democratic energy for midterms.
Mr. Obama made his return to the political arena by giving a speech at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign after receiving the Paul H. Douglas Award for Ethics in Government.
He praised America’s accomplishments but said there is a darker side to progress when politicians peddle resentment and mistrust to preserve the status quo.
“It did not start with Donald Trump. He is a symptom, not the cause,” Mr. Obama said. “He’s just capitalizing on resentments that politicians have been fanning for years.”

I thought the award should have read, “Meritorious Service in the Enrichment of Wall Street Banks and Corporations at the Expense of Workers” award.
And at one time Obama said 1% growth was the new normal for the US and asked if Trump had a magic wand that he was going to use to bring back jobs. Now the tires. Trump is succeeding he want to take credit for it. Please do our Republic a favor and disappear. Oh wait. His original intention as president and now is to destroy our Republic.

Now Kamala Harris is trying the same schtick. Neither of her parents were natural born, nor were they in the time frame by which their spawn would be eligible.

Which is why the Constitution says he can’t be President.
The children of foreign nationals are exactly why the founders rejected “citizen at birth” and “native born citizen”, this would allow for the admission to the office of President people who had other citizenships, loyalties and allegiances.
They wanted someone who was solely an American, naturally an American because they were born here of citizen parents and could be no other.
Parents just have to be citizens at the time of their birth for them to be natural born citizen, the parents don’t have to be.
