Who’s “anonymous?” On today’s Morning Joe, several members of the panel made the case that “anonymous” is Kellyanne Conway, counselor to President Trump. First up, John Heilemann made the following points in support of The Conway Conjecture:
1. The “perspicacious” wife of Charles Pierce of Esquire detected an “unmistakably feminine” tone to the op-ed.
2. Conway is “very cagey; she’s the kind of person who would find out that Mike Pence used the word ‘lodestar’ a lot, and put ‘lodestar’ in to try to pin it on Mike Pence.”
3. Trying to set herself up to be the Carville & Matalin of the future [Conway’s husband is a big Trump critic], “this is a good hedge against Trump failing,” permitting her to say “I was working on the inside for the Resistance all along.”
Joe Scarborough and Donny Deutsch then chimed in to support the theory.

So the fake news covers a fake story from a fake source printed in a fake paper. Cue the Ellen graphic, fake, fake, fake.
Perhaps someone has some knowledge about this. Is anyone that works in the WH (I’m assuming anyone above cleaning lady is considered “senior advisor”) who is an associate of Kristol? Or maybe someone who would’ve been upset that Megan or Cindy didn’t get the US Senate seat?

Medved backed up his guess by noting that the author used an unusual term (load...something), several times and that Pence speeches use that term a dozen times. Since Medved doesn't suspect Pence he suggested Pence speech writer who is tied to the Koch brothers, who don't like Trump.
I think a great case is to be made for Mika and Joe having written that NYT piece, They hate Trump so much nothing would surprise me.
