Washington Post editor Eugene Robinson has defended the decision by David Remnick, editor of The New Yorker, to disinvite Steve Bannon from its festival. On todays Morning Joe, Robinson argued that Remnick had no choice because the invitation had upset the New Yorkers staff, contributors and other participants, several of whom announced that they would not participate if Bannon did.
Bannon has it right in calling Remnicks reversal gutless. Remnick should have announced that even if there were no other participants, the festival would go forward with Bannon. That would not only have been gutsy, it would have led to a much more compelling conversation on diversity of opinion, and the way the left has been trying to suppress public speech by conservatives.

Gutless decision to dump Bannon perfect illustration of the left’s intolerance of true “diversity” — that of thought.
Ping to Liberal Media Criticism list.
Bannon should be relieved. Never should have gone to the New Yorker in the first place.
Lines have been drawn.
Hope he has an ample supply of Kleenex for them “I been upset” tears....
Omg! Some people are upset by bannon! Poor, delicate little whiners.
Robinson looks like something I dumped this morning.
Now middle-aged men are getting triggered!
Can he buy a ticket and attend anyway as a spectator or would he be denied “cake”/service?
Eugene Robinson is an ethnic bigot of the first order.
Gutless and intellectually empty.
Cuffing snowflakes. Can’t even mold them into a cohesive snowball, they just fall apart and turn into a burst of crystals.
Snow cannot be made into balls when it is too light and fluffy, and the temperature is extremely low. But in the right circumstances, it makes great material for avalanches.
“On todays Morning Joe”
Anyone having anything to do with this show is full of crap.
Robinson’s bigotry and racism upset me.
Does that mean I can expect the WaPo to fire him soon?
Nobody makes me Mad, I make myself mad
Nobody makes me Sad, I make myself sad
Nobody makes me Anxious, I make myself anxious
I am my own worst enemy,
And so are you,
And so is the guy behind the tree
These Idiots are blaming others for
What they have done to themselves
It is infantile behavior, and
They will not mature until they
take command of their own minds;
responsibility for their own actions
Very well said.
It was wrong . They called him and invited him over. Canceling like that was not only gutless, it was rude.
A very spineless thing to do. Where are the b*Los with all these editors?
B*lls
Wapo an the New Yorker upset me....can I expect them to self immolate soon?????
Oh no! The widdle snowflakes got upset!? Oh no! Quick! Someone get a baby bottle full of mother’s milk to soothe these poor upset widdle babies.
