The Kavanaugh Hazing - Democrats Fear The Supreme Court Will No Longer Be A Liberal Legislature
The Wall Street Journal ^ | Sept. 3, 2018 | The Editorial Board

Posted on 09/03/2018 9:49:32 PM PDT by Helicondelta

The Senate Judiciary Committee opens confirmation hearings for Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh on Tuesday, and don’t expect the “bipartisanship” that everyone extolled at John McCain’s memorial services last week. Democrats are out to tarnish the nominee even if they fail to defeat him, and the main goal is to drive voters to the polls to elect a Democratic Congress in November.

Toward that end, you will hear that the 53-year-old judge will join four other conservatives on the High Court eager to eviscerate the rights of Americans. You will hear they want to require back-alley abortions, deny contraception to women, end gay marriage, strip voting rights from minorities, empower corporations to crush workers, and remove constitutional checks and balances on Donald Trump so he can reign supreme.

Have we missed anything?

The real reason Democrats are furious about a Court with five conservatives is that it may no longer be an engine of progressive policy. If liberals want to guarantee a minimum income or a right to suicide, they will have to persuade voters and pass it democratically. No longer will five or six Justices be able to find such rights in the “penumbras” and “emanations” of the Constitution.

You have to understand this: The Democrat Party’s idea of “democracy” does NOT involve Americans deciding things for themselves.

The Democrat Party is of the firm opinion that the will of the American people stands in contravention to the growth of government as it believes appropriate.

I’m guessing Trump will get a third nomination later this year. All the Ruth Bader Ginsberg media, some of it in past tense, is leading up to her death. At least in this, even hanging on to the bitter end, she’ll go out with a bit more class than did McCain.

Got love this sentence:
No longer will five or six Justices be able to find such rights in the “penumbras” and “emanations” of the Constitution.
LOL. He nails it.

I'm still baffled by how the constitution codifies a "right to privacy" and then that implies it is OK to kill another human being because the killing is "private".

Even better would it be, if after long last, the Supreme Court could find the Tenth Amendment.

Until deep state goes to work on them or they just add more judges to the court or simply defy the court as the left has done regarding federal laws they don’t like. The left has no intention of coexisting with traditional Americans. They will never accept the rule of traditional Americans.

Did you mention force blacks to sit in the back of the bus, legalize lynchings and make it legal to say the word “monkey,” “articulate,” “successful,” and force football players off their knees? Such racism! Now the African American community will just have to vote Democrat as Chicago-ans drop like flies in drivebys.

Oh what’s more. Not only 19 year olds, but expand the supremes to 25. All the new Judges should be hard-core conservatives under 25 years old. Force mandatory retirement at 80.
