AFL-CIO’s Trumka: Trump ‘Has Done More to Hurt Workers Than to Help Workers’
Breitbart ^

Posted on 09/03/2018 5:46:35 AM PDT by bryan999

On this weekend’s broadcast of “Fox News Sunday,” AFL-CIO chief Richard Trumka said President Donald Trump has “hurt workers.”

On Trump’s performance for workers, Trumka said, “Unfortunately, to date, the things that he has done to hurt workers outpace what he’s done to help workers. He hasn’t come up with an infrastructure program that could put a lot of us back to work. He overturned a regulation that would deny over 5 million overtime that they would’ve had. He overturned some health and safety regulations that will hurt us on the job.”

He continued, “Wages have been down since the first of the year. Gas prices have been up since the first year. So overall, workers aren’t doing as well.”

He added, “He has done more to hurt workers than to help workers.”

Hey Richard, Mr Trumka, or can I call you Dick...

I'll bet you a steak diner, I'll buy if you win...

You rent a big civic center and hold a rallye and see if you can get as many Blue Collars as the President does to hear about what you have done to make their lives better...

The only workers Trumpka is talking about are union bosses and party flunkies.

AFL-CIO dummies:

In less than two years under President Trump there are more job openings than qualified applicants.

Political activities

The AFL-CIO was a major component of the New Deal Coalition that dominated politics into the mid-1960s.[9] Although it has lost membership, finances, and political clout since 1970, it remains a major player on the liberal side of national politics, with a great deal of activity in lobbying, grassroots organizing, coordinating with other liberal organizations, fund-raising, and recruiting and supporting candidates around the country.[10]

In recent years the AFL-CIO has concentrated its political efforts on lobbying in Washington and the state capitals, and on “GOTV” (get-out-the-vote) campaigns in major elections. For example, in the 2010 midterm elections, it sent 28.6 million pieces of mail. Members received a “slate card” with a list of union endorsements matched to the member’s congressional district, along with a “personalized” letter from President Obama emphasizing the importance of voting. In addition, 100,000 volunteers went door-to-door to promote endorsed candidates to 13 million union voters in 32 states.

Unions are slowly losing their hold on "the people".

While they may have been useful in the past, the structure of businesses have changed and Unions are outdated.

Any guesses as to what Trumka pulls down (salary *and* benefits)?

My guess would be close to a million. And he's a champion of the working stiff!

Trumpka is nothing but a professional Union grifter. The best thing he can do, but won’t, is to shut his pie hole. Not to be confused with his front hole. Could be confused with his back hole though.

The afl-cio headquarters in washington dc takes an entire city block.

It would be interesting to see the annual operating budget, including the wages of the leeches that “work” there.

8 years of Obama destroying the economy evidently wasn’t enough for this political hack union thief. He can’t see the forest for the trees.

When we need to know who NOT to vote for, a quick pass by the local union hall pretty much seals who is out of the equation.. 😹👍🏼🇺🇸
