A group of 11 Catholic groups came together to purchase stock in Smith & Wesson. The group purchased 200 shares, the minimum number required to for shareholders to demand reports from the company. Now, they want the gun manufacturer to provide a report that details what the company is doing to promote "gun safety measures" and "produce safer gun and gun products."
According to an SEC filing, which is submitted to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), here's what the group wants to see from Smith & Wesson:
Shareholders request the Board of Directors issue a report by February 8, 2019, at reasonable expense and excluding proprietary information, on the companys activities related to gun safety measures and the mitigation of harm associated with gun products, including the following (emphasis mine):

Before these groups start demanding a company do as they say....shouldn’t they clean up their own house first?
Trying to take the focus off the perversion and crime in their ranks by doing this. Sounds like a bunch of Democrats.....same M.O.....
Because of left-wing crap like this is why I did a # walkaway from the catholic “church” in 1980’s when I lived in Southern California.
I had it with so-called cardinal Roger Mahoney appearing on TV and telling people to vote for democrats, their support of open borders, gun-grabbing, punishing the successful, etc. etc.
When CW II finally goes hot, these “11 catholic groups” better hope they won’t be staring down the wrong end of a gun.
catholic
[kath-uh-lik, kath-lik]
adjective
1) broad or wide-ranging in tastes, interests, or the like; having sympathies with all; broad-minded; liberal.
Really like that photo. What the libs did to the nuns is a real crime.
S&W should just drop them a note saying "we don't do this kind of chit".
These are the Social Justice Catholics - not every Catholic Church is the same. They are supposed to be but (like ignoring border laws and marijuana laws) some priests and bishops just go their own way because nobody’s going to stop them. My understanding is that today’s Pope is one of these Social Justice Catholics. I expect another mass exodus from the Church. (pun intended.)
Too bad they do not support gun safety groups like the NRA to teach safety. I had NRA hunters safety in High Schools for 2 years.
Up to their asses in alliGAYtors and they’re bitching about S&W.
>> Smith & Wesson should buy 200 shares in the Catholic Church and demand a detailed report...
Waste of time - the upper management all carry Vatican (NOT U.S.) passports and have diplomatic immunity, no matter where they were born or raised.
Also, like the Pope, they should be worried about the harm caused by pervert priests' guns than by Smith and Wesson firearms. The priests are supposed to be under the control of the Catholic Church.
“Found some pics here”
Thanks. The man has got some guns.
>> These are the Social Justice Catholics ...
Bingo! The same groups of do-gooder rats that spend their nights scurrying around our southern border with Mexico, hoping to screw up the Border Patrol’s interceptions of illegals.
Wanna do some good, you confusers of social-justice with social-ism? Our goddaughter’s uncle is a Jesuit priest in Nicaragua. He’s on a hit list. Go down and help him.
I dont have time to research all of these groups, but heres some info on one of them, the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia.
It looks like this is yet another activity by another group of the far-left who have infiltrated the Church during the past decades.
Just as the priesthood has been infiltrated by men with an agenda, so have many of the religious orders of nuns been taken over by women with an agenda.
Here are a few links to info on the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia, and it doesnt appear that devotion to Christ or traditional Catholic beliefs is their focus.

Theyre just another group of eco-activists.
Also, Id like to mention that St. Francis of Assisi is often used by the far-left as an example of putting the earth first. (Why did our current antipope choose this name?) This is incorrect and misleading to those who havent studied Francis.

Government is an evil - and handguns to enforce the right to life of their owners are, too. The Constitution says that the federal government is necessary - and that private citizens exercise their own judgement as to the necessity of keeping and bearing arms.SOME writers have so confounded society with government, as to leave little or no distinction between them; whereas they are not only different, but have different origins.Society in every state is a blessing, but Government, even in its best state, is but a necessary evil . . . - Thomas Paine, Common Sense (1776)Society is produced by our wants, and government by our wickedness;the former promotes our happiness POSITIVELY by uniting our affections, the latter NEGATIVELY by restraining our vices.
The one encourages intercourse, the other creates distinctions.
The first is a patron, the last a punisher.
