SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — More than two dozen MS-13 gang members and affiliates were arrested and charged following a monthslong murder and drug trafficking investigation centered on a rural California farm city that the gang turned into a base for its operations, U.S. and state prosecutors said Friday.
MS-13 took advantage of limited resources in the city of Mendota and used it and other areas of Fresno County to "conduct their crimes, to hide out from crimes that they committed in other jurisdictions and to prepare to commit crimes in states as far away as New York," Fresno County District Attorney Lisa Smittcamp said at a news conference in Fresno with state and federal officials.
Mendota has a population of roughly 11,000 people and lies 35 miles (60 kilometers) west of Fresno in California's agriculturally rich Central Valley. Nearly the entire population is Hispanic, with many immigrants from El Salvador.
MS-13 is linked to more than 12 murders in Mendota and western Fresno County over the past two years, said McGregor Scott, the U.S. attorney in Sacramento. The federal charges announced Friday include allegations that two MS-13 gang members kidnapped and murdered a Fresno County man in December.
Scott said the investigation — dubbed "Blue Inferno" — uncovered evidence tying the gang to at least 30 murders and assaults in Mendota, Los Angles, Las Vegas, New York City and Houston. The evidence has prompted additional prosecutions in other cities, he said.
"This is a good day," he said. "An extremely violent street gang which has terrorized western Fresno County has been completely dismantled and several murders and violent crimes across the nation have been resolved in a resounding way," he said.

There we bankrupt towns in California with what amounts to zero law enforcement. People are stealing the street lamps to sell them as scrap.

We lived in Californicationia 5 times. 2005-2007 we lived in Rancho Cucamonga, which is the first town east of L.A. County. There were night time round ups of illegals who were engaging in drugs, sex slaves, guns, murder, robberies, etc. I remember hearing the sirens at about 3am a few times. And it isn’t getting any better out there.
Happily back in Texas, where most people are sane.

I was just thinking, we have illegals building homes in our new neighborhood here. I speak Spanish and I have to, to talk to them, none of them speaks English. They do steal a lot, homes get broken into, cars get broken into, etc. big flat screen TVs are dissappearing from back patios here.
They work a long day in the heat, but they also know when people leave their homes for short or long periods. These guys all have braces on their teeth, cell phones, I Pads, etc. YOU and I are paying for these. We pay for OURS!
They work cheap, but if they were not here, American men would have those jobs. Sure prices would go up, but maybe we wouldn’t have to give them Free Medical and Free Dental and Free Phones and Free I Pads.... And it would be a better situation for Americans.
I remember when our first and second homes were built. The workers were all Americans, who spoke English, nothing got stolen and the homes were much better quality. These guys cannot read the Floor plans/blueprints, and they make HUGE mistakes... the home going in next door has about 6 places in the concrete slab where it had to be jackhammered up to correct plumping and electrical errors.
They are also stealing packages from front porches.

Anyone believe the MS-13 roundup would have occurred with President Hillary Clinton? In the Democrat Party these are potential democrat voters (or enforcers ala black panthers in Philadelphia) and crimes against American citizens are collateral damage in their quest for votes.

My niece lives there I hope she moves to GA closer to her sister soon.
Mendota isn’t that far from where Pelosi & DiFi live.
Both of them claim that MS-13 doesn’t exist, and that Trump is making them up.
