John McCain's Bitter Exit
Eagle Action Report ^ | 9/1/2018 | Felicia Tweedy

McCain’s memorial remembrances were filled with themes of unity, inclusion, and compromise. They stressed how McCain was someone who could reach across the aisle, find consensus, and put differences aside to bring people together for the greater good.

It’s too bad McCain’s final actions contradicted that message...

Senator McCain had a perfect opportunity to be the “maverick” of his reputation. He could have been the unifier. He could have done the right thing by allowing even those he had unresolved issues with, differences with, to come and pay their respects and to honor him. He could have shown the country, not just in words but in action, that no matter how great the differences we have with one another, we can move beyond them, beyond the anger, bitterness, pain, even our own pride and ego, to come together to do what is best for America.

John McCain could have done all these noble things. But he didn't.

She used her eulogy to make a bitter rant against Trump (all without actually mentioning his name of course). She made a comment about how her father was so much better than the "privileged few" who didn't go fight (bash of Trump). Also she said something about her father always knowing that America "was always great" (another bash of Trump). Then you had Dubya up there telling us how great McCain was because he didn't have a "bigoted" bone in his body.

So McCain was bad because he was from Mississippi? Because his distant ancestors owned slaves (but he didn’t)? Because his ancestors fought for the Confederacy? Those are the least of the worries we oughta have about the man.

What a disgusting diatribe from a despicable person. You deserve some Mississippi spit in your face.

I dislike McCain for a myriad of reasons, but the insistence that he had anything to do with the Forrestal Tragedy is not based on facts.

I have heard it said that there are none so blind as those who will not see. This would be you. I'm sure you believe what you wrote but it is unequivocally false. Here's a clue: Bombs.

He was inept his whole life and karma finally caught up with him, damn his soul to hell, for all the evil things he did in his life.

And a pox on all the Arizona voters who kept voting him into office.

That’s only b/c he and his family knew it was less likely that anyone would be able to desecrate his grave.

Had he been buried in Arlington, I would have risked jail time just to take a messy sh*t all over his tomb stone - that is how intensely I hate the SOB.

I thought the going Theory was him Wet Starting the Engine of his A4 when he was lined up for Takeoff to “spook” the guys behind him in the F4 Phantom.

That Theory was shot down, so to speak. He was sitting in his Aircraft with its ass end facing the Ocean when all hell broke loose.

The Theory that McCain released his two 1000 Pound Bombs by Accident was never brought up in the Investigation. They concluded that a Bomb detached from the Plane next to McCain that was hit by the Rocket. That Pilot died and McCain barely got about alive. He was hit by Shrapnel in the Leg from the Bombs cooking off.

Of course, he lost another couple of Planes probably because he was a Hotshot “Maverick”. Those Investigations never blamed him, but the Engine Flame Outs he experienced that ended up with the loss of those Planes were never really explained.

It should be noted that when his Plane was hit in Vietnam, he managed to drop his Bomb Load on Target before he Bailed out and was Captured.

This Thread might end up being as popular as the Natural Born Citizen Threads that gets everyone here riled up.

People believe what they believe. Makes no difference, McCain is gone for good. Let’s hope no other McCain’s decide to get into Politics.

I never said he was bad for any of that. He was attacked from the left for that and he was afraid of it. As I said, the same people praising him today are the same people pulling down confederate monuments. McCain hid this background, and did not want to confront it.
The point was the hypocrisy of all this adulation from people who did attack McCain on this issue and who attack the history of this country.

The reality was this was just a prolonged attack on Trump.
