I have a hard time with this sort of judicial overreach.
What the man did was wrong, but not a felony wrong.
Bunch of snowflakes here.
Until it happens to you. My friend's son had an argument with his girlfriend, she shoved him and he then slapped her. She pressed charges and he went to prison for five years. He had the same argument, he didn't mean anything by it and she wasn't hurt. But he went to prison for that simple out of control hit. Learned his lesson the hard way.
What the man did was wrong, but not a felony wrong.

The reason the law was in place was to keep the young man or his family from hunting this man down and beating him or killing him out of anger.
The Leviathan is in place so that society behaves itself and doesn't take the law into it's own hands.
If someone were to come up to me in my youth and in my old neighborhood doing what he did. His arms and legs would have been broken with a crowbar by my cousins. No cops would have been called and the "grabber" would be reminded daily for the rest of his life that he made a mistake.
I know this to be a fact because a young man pushed my grandfather down and he broke his arm while waiting for a bus when I was 6-7 years old. The young man was found in the middle of the street with all four extremities bent in the wrong manner and my grandfather was able to use the bus stop and walk around our neighborhood till he was in his 80's without fear of thugs.
This clown with man-boobs is a bully. He will more than likely be convicted of a felony. That's not a good thing ever to have on a resume, especially in Texas and especially when an employer looks at the particulars of the charges. He should move to Austin or California.
I don't like bullies. They need to be beaten like a rabid dog and taught to behave.
Snowflakes?!?
One simple question Chickensoup, If this exact same thing happens to you TOMORROW while you are eating with friends, what would happen? (best guess)
