A replacement has already been chosen to take over for White House counsel Don McGahn when he leaves that post in the fall, according to a Thursday morning tweet from President Trump.
I am very excited about the person who will be taking the place of Don McGahn as White House Councel!" Trump wrote.
McGahn would be leaving the White House following the confirmation of his Supreme Court nomination, Brett Kavanaugh.
Trump added that he does not credit McGahn with stopping him from firing special counsel Robert Mueller or Attorney General Jeff Sessions. "I liked Don, but he was NOT responsible for me not firing Bob Mueller or Jeff Sessions. So much Fake Reporting and Fake News! Trump wrote.

I was hoping for Sessions being at the end of that sentence.
A lot of churn with Trump. Clearly he is a very good manager. He only keeps people on his payroll that produce.
Who will replace Sessions?
He’s not gone..
It’s only a matter of time before he is, officially, gone, and it doesn’t hurt to speculate on who will succeed him. I have no idea who the best person for the job should be.
Well the thread is about replacing White House counsel Don McGahn.....not Sessions. Perhaps you could title a thread just for that and see what people think?
