Dick’s Sporting Goods Inc. DKS -2.17% said weaker sales of Under Armour Inc. apparel and a decision to pull back from the hunting business dragged on the retailer’s latest quarterly results.
Comparable-store sales fell 4%, Dick’s said. Not adjusting for the 53rd week last year, the company’s same-store sales declined 1.9%.
Dick’s said part of the company’s sales problems were a result of Under Armour’s decision to sell in more stores including Kohl’s. Under Armour declined to comment.
Also hurting sales was Dick’s decision to tighten its policy on gun sales after 17 people were killed in a February shooting at a Parkland, Fla., high school. The retailer halted sales of any firearms to people under age 21 at all of its 845 Dick’s and Field & Stream stores and stopped selling assault-style weapons at Field & Stream.
Under Armour’s results accounted for three percentage points of declining sales at Dick’s, while weakness in the hunting and electronics categories contributed two percentage points of decline. When excluding Under Armour and the hunting and electronics business, comparable-store sales fell 1%.

If there was no other place around to buy guns, Dicks might get away with some of their negative 2A rules...but, there are plenty of places to buy guns.
Commercial outlets - who depend on the public to survive - seem to think they are an arm of some socialist government, and can dictate policy and rearrange the Constitution.
Dicks...you’re not THAT famous, you’re NOT the government, and you’re NOT going to be selling near as many guns as you might have in the past.
Boycott them.

I went to a two room country school, back in the 50s. We had a strict gun policy: Anyone bringing a gun to school had to unload it, and leave it in the coat room. Part of the reason for this was because there were some in the school who could only get meat for supper if they shot it on the way home.
No one dared to shoot up a school then - there were too many who would shoot back.

You’d think Dick’s Sporting Goods would have learned the lesson of Target, who is only now finally starting to recover from their bathroom policy PR fiasco, only because the improved US economy is driving more customers into their stores in the first place.
This is what happens when afer a generation of children are given "participation trophies" for losing, i.e. they don't know how to cope with and overcome failure ...
Love Under Armour for my boys. Durable clothes that last the entire school year and still look good. Buy them from the direct outlet store.
Dicks can stuff it. Used to buy a lot of things there. Haven’t been back since they made their announcement.

Dick's is reaping the rewards of their CEO wading into politics on the side of the leftists. Let them wallow in it. I hope they go bankrupt.
Since they jumped on the Gun Grabber bandwagon I sent them a note telling them MY new policy is that I will never do business with them ever again.
