What Witch Hunt? Look at All the Indictments and Convictions Now Flowing In!
Spectator ^ | 30 August 2018 | Dov Fischer

It is the most common Democrat/ Liberal/ Seedier Media defense of the Mueller Witch Hunt: “What ‘witch hunt’? Look at all the indictments and convictions! Flynn pleaded guilty. Cohen pleaded guilty. Manafort was convicted on eight counts.”. . . snip

In the end, it is absolutely impossible (not “improbable,” not “impracticable,” but impossible) that a $20 million, 17-lawyer, year-plus international investigation that extends from the United States to London to Ukraine, with the investigatory team working on a blank check and unlimited authorization to follow any evidence or hunch anywhere it leads, will fail to uncover all 1,834 dead bodies at the cemetery site of the crashed two-seater aircraft. They cannot fail to rack up guilty pleas and convictions while indicting dozens of ham sandwiches.

...unless Mueller’s Seventeen and his $20 million ever demonstrate knowing collusion between the Trump campaign and the Putin Government jointly to corrupt an American Presidential election — no litany of guilty pleas, indictments, and convictions ever will justify the Mueller investigation as anything other than a brazenly despotic witch hunt implemented to reverse the will of the American people expressed in a free and fair national presidential election.

The. Bottom. Line.

He makes a good point. The bar for a grand jury to indict is very low, and the procedure goes against the defendant. He says 17 lawyers and unlimited funds WILL find someone to indict. But the indictments have nothing to do with what the special counsel was set up for.

Sessions could and should un-recuse himself, since his recusal was so he would not get involved in Russian collusion indictments and yet there have been none.

Something the President would be wise to tweet.

Total witch hunt completely not what they were supposed to be doing - collision. But that’s ok. Trump will appoint a special prosecutor with unlimited power to investigate hillary and jay walking by anyone who knew of her.

It is true, there is no witch hunt.

In fact, they are going to great efforts to NOT hunt the witch:

This investigation is a joke. Its purpose was to find out if there was collusion with Russia to sway the election in a substantial, effective way and no such evidence has even BEGUN to surface. Now, it is an investigation into every single person with whom Trump has had contact in order to smear each and every one to intimidate anyone else in the future who might work with Trump on ANYTHING to have second thoughts. Mueller and his entire team should be tried and convicted of treason for trying to oust a lawfully elected President.

“Witch-hunt” was coined by the Communists to criticize political efforts to root out communists in the Federal government. They liked it because witch hunts are by their nature unjust, because obviously there’s no such thing as witches, so ipso facto, the people they convict are wrongly convicted.

In the case of communists, that was not true. There were a lot of communists, and the nature of the Soviet regime was such that this was not just another political opinion, it was treasonous.

There is a difference.

Tell that to spell check that inserts words without your knowledge it thinks is correct.

Apparently you have no experience with modern technology.

There are turning points in history from which there is no going back. Caesar was recalled to Rome to face trial for treason but when he crossed the Rubicon back into Italy he brought his army with him and swept the republic aside. The founders signed a declaration of independence and knew they must win or die.

The deep state appointing Robert Mueller to work at (1) obscuring wrongdoing by one party and (2) create a case for overturning the election of a President is one such moment. It has led to a series of revelations about incest between the DOJ, the FBI, and the DNC that have created a level of distrust in this government and its institutions never before seen. It's also opened a rift between left and right that is boiling up to violence in currently isolated spots. Sure, plenty of people are blind and only watching the Kardassians. But those who are paying attention will never trust this government again. There is no going back from that. And that sense of disillusionment will only grow over the years. Mueller appointment is the seed of a true crisis in this nation, it may be years before the fruit is grown and ripened but it will come. If he gets Trunp on some jigged up nonsense then it will come sooner rather than later.

Well, I've only been using the internet since 1998, so you might be right :-P
