Yep, the prosecutors missed the ten day deadline. The judge was forced to release them.

That sounds like a scam to me. Something is going on behind the scenes here, and it is probably some bad sh*t.

Having spent a few years in NM I understand that phrase.

It is a beautiful state, but it is largely governed by goofballs.

New Mexico is a very crooked state and things go on there that are overlooked on a regular basis. Not to mention the destruction of the camp (evidence) to make sure tracks were covered.

Great border crossing area as well, especially if enforcement is in on it, I wonder if there are stats on arrests for crossing by state etc, would be interesting...

Governor is a Repub, this needs fixing, she was a McCain supporter

A dead, missing child buried in the yard is just part of Islamic culture.... Don’t be racist and judge them for it.

In this case it was not the judges fault. He was following the law. Blame for this goes on law enforcement or on the prosecutors. But it is obvious that there were people in high places that wanted these guys to walk free.

The judge had no choice.

He must follow the law.

The prosecution dropped the ball and the suspects will be re-arrested.

It definitely appears that the New Mexico state prosecuting authorities wanted these individuals to go free. There should be massive protests wherever these authorities are housed by tomorrow morning.

I think we fail to notice the incredible abuses associated with prosecutorial misconduct and this cuts two ways:

1. undercharging [as in this case]
2. over charging as in the Federal cases involving Manafort et al.

Our governing authorities are abusing our civil rights in radical ways.

I would also throw in here the rather incredible case of the FBI collaborating in 2015 to allow the Islamic terrorist attack on a public facilty in Garland, Texas. These abuses are staggering.

I think with Manafort we realize that every single tax return filed in the US is basically fraudulent because no one can understand our tax laws. That means federal prosecutors can put anyone in jail and this is also why Democrats always demand the publication of Republican tax filings so they can abuse prosecutorial power.

The New Mexico authorities basically have condoned the killing of a child and an apparent plot to commit mass killing sprees throughout the nation— including school shootings. This should be unacceptable.

” ... they can always be re-arrested....provided they haven’t absconded.”

The article is a bit misleading. The three who had charges dropped against them were already out on bail so they were not “released” from custody today. The other two are still in custody because of other charges that were not dropped. Andrew McCarthy said on the Laura Ingraham show tonight that he suspects the prosecutors have stronger evidence on the two “masterminds” who remain in custody than they had on the three against whom charges were dropped.

How much did it cost the government to deal with these people? Cops, lawyers. Never-ending. If you take up the publics resources you should pay. Needing a cop is one thing getting arrested is another.

Wasn’t there a dead boy at this compound?

Yes.

Time for the U.S. Justice Department to step in as was done in the Rodney King affair.

(If we ever get an Attorney General who can tear himself away from protecting Hillary Clinton and her cohorts)

In 1992 the Los Angeles policemen who beat Rodney King were acquitted in a state court jury trial.

Then the federal government stepped in and prosecuted them on charges of violating King's civil rights.

There was a lot of controversy on many aspects of the King trials including the question of the FEDS stretching the law to justify stepping in.
But those controversies should not attach to this crime.

If it is a violation of an individual's civil rights to beat him it surely is a violation of one's rights to kill him.
