Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin, who was Sen. John McCain (R-AZ)s running mate in the 2008 presidential election, has been excluded from his funeral. Breitbart News has independently confirmed an earlier report in People magazine, which reported that Palin was not sent an invitation, and was told through intermediaries to stay away from the ceremony.
McCain fundraiser Carla Eudy confirmed to People that Palin had not been invited possibly, People speculated, at the behest of the McCain family.
The news comes on the tenth anniversary of the date in 2008 when Palin was announced as McCains pick for Vice President.
Palin now joins President Donald Trump on the list of those barred from the funeral.
But unlike Trump, Palin never feuded with McCain and never criticized him.
When news broke on Saturday of McCains passing, Palin said: Today we lost an American original. Sen. John McCain was a maverick and a fighter, never afraid to stand for his beliefs. John never took the easy path in life and through sacrifice and suffering he inspired others to serve something greater than self.
John McCain was my friend. I will remember the good times. My family and I send prayers for Cindy and the McCain family.

What petty and classless people the McCains are!
Thanks KC_Lion. McCain was a bitter c-word, just like the rest of his family apparently is.
Sarah revitalized the campaign that he went out of his way to lose. That is not a good reason not to invite her. How petty of his family.
+1!
I’m sure other Palinistas remembered that today is the Palins’ Anniversary...
and I believe the 10th Anniversary of her RNC Acceptance Speech that caused RINOs everywhere to wet their pants.
And it was McCain’s birthday.
If my memory on this serves correct, then this snubbing of Sarah Palin from the funeral was done ON PURPOSE.
To send her a message.
Just like she said when she was on Rebecca M’s radio show some months ago...
Sarah said Todd got a phone call from some GOP hopeful (probably Mitt) WARNING her not to run for Prez in 2012.
Run now, Sarah. If my memory is correct about today’s date being significant, you need to run for office.
Run Sarah run.
Hey, I slipped off your PING list for this Trump/Palin photo
Remember how she was criticized for eating pizza with a fork?
Anyway... how about Trump replaces Pence with Palin?
I’ll never forget how Pence was all-in on the Bushes tape reveal weekend with Paul Ryan. (Billy Bush is a Bush, after all).
Help me to understand.
Joe Biden is a pallbearer.
Sarah Palin is not invited.
I guess Sarah couldn’t carry him into hell.
Palin is taking the high ground on this matter.
Once the mourning period is over and the adulation from George W and Barry Obama etc. etc. is over I for one intend to discuss McCain’s legacy to dispel the Princess Diana like adulation from the media.
“Sarah Palin I dont think cares.”
Are you sure you don’t mean “Sarah Palin I think doesn’t care”?
It bothers me to read “I don’t think ...” statements .
why are the media making it sound like Sarah even asked to participate? Sounds like the McCain Family shot off a missive before anyone even asked. Maybe the McCains are afraid she’ll make all the liberals uncomfortable.
I found over the years that when I eat pizza, I tended to burn my mouth and get it all over me. knife and fork takes care of that!
Who would want to sit through another speech by Barrack Hussein Obama anyway. I would rather have someone shove bamboo in my fingernails than do that.
Better bring a ladder. I bet they will have such a high fence around that aholes grave that it would make any military compound or heck for that matter our southern border envious.
I was willing to give McCain the benefit of the doubt. His family is no doubt suffering and grieving, and he undoubtedly did some exemplary things with his life -- his opting to stay on at the Hanoi Hilton comes to mind -- but after this snub, I'm just going back to thinking of him as a vindictive little prick.
I think you've nailed it.
I remember the crowds at Sarah's rallies and then the ones at whatshisame's rallies. Almost like what we saw with Trump and shillary.
whatshisname realized this and began to campaign with Sarah....you could see the frustration in his face knowing the crowds were there for her.....not him.
“...One should not speak ill of the dead...”
Out of curiosity... Why not?
I hear that a lot, and it’s usually in reference to someone who deserves to be “spoken ill” of.
Like all men, he did some things that were good in his life, and he did some other things that just plain sucked throughout his life.
Unfortunately, a lot of the things that he did negatively impacted a large portion of people in this Country, and he did those things intentionally, out of spite, and with much malice. One could forgive a person making a mistake.
So, respectfully, this guy - much like his buddy Ted Kennedy - gets what he deserves.
“Speaking ill” about him is being charitable, for all the damage he caused.
I agree with you.
Navies McCain had no loyalty.
So. Gov Ducey certainly had better not appoint Cindy to John’s seat after this petty display. I hear Ducey’s up for reelection this year, too?
But they are inviting George W.
The only things liberals had right is he looks like a chimp.
And is as dumb as a box of rocks.
