CNN’s Carl Bernstein, the man made co-famous through his historic Watergate reporting, lied to us — to all of us. And he is now engaged in a cover up to protect this lie.
I am not even talking about his fake news about the Trump Tower meeting, which I will get to in a bit — I am talking about a flat-out, provable lie.
In a July 27 piece of very fake news Bernstein co-wrote with CNN anchor (and former Obama official) Jim Sciutto and researcher Marshall Cohen, Bernstein declaratively informs us, “Contacted by CNN, one of Cohen’s attorneys, Lanny Davis, declined to comment.”
That statement is a lie, a proven lie, a bald-faced lie, because we now know for a fact that Lanny Davis did NOT decline to comment. What’s more, Davis was a CNN source for that steaming pile of very fake news.
In other words… the anti-Trump Carl Bernstein did not only spread fake news, the anti-Trump Carl Bernstein published a straight-up lie in his fake news, reported something he knew was not true.

CNN won’t retract its fake reporting:
Their covering it up is even worse than the lies they’ve peddled to the public as the truth.
Who watches their fictional shows? They’ve a lower audience than the Hallmark Channel and HGTV.
At least those are a welcome break from the daily Bash Trump grind.

Can someone explain to me why this is an issue?
Trump foreknowledge and, by inference, his approval of a perfectly legal meeting with Russians arranged by the FBI. Even if Trump lied to the Press, a highly unlikely event, I still don’t see the crime.
Even if the FBI element turns out to be false it is still not criminal.
What am I missing except the Fake News agreement that Trump’s very existence is worthy of impeachment?

Carl BernSTAIN is a 74 year old HAS BEEN on a failing fake news channel. He is nothing more than a leftist ghoul living on the carcass of a Watergate scandal that is quickly fading from the memory of America.

In 1979, author Deborah Davis interviewed the arresting officer ot the Watergate break-in Carl Shoffler, who said that “in the early 1970s” he wanted to press charges against Bernstein for writing bad checks to Washington DC prostitutes. Shoffler’s superiors shut down the case because they feared it would like retaliation for Bernstein’s Watergate reporting. Deborah Davis wrote about this in her book about Katherine Graham—Katherine the Great. Graham’s legal team demanded that Davis’s book run be stopped and 20,000 copies were destroyed by Davis’ publisher Harcourt Jovanovich.
Six years later, Jim Hougan wrote the deeply researched (and widely ignored) book Secret Agenda that suggested that a call-girl ring was the real basis of the Watergate break-ins. Later the books Silent Coup, The Strong Man and White House Call-girl “fleshed” out this theory.
Bernstein had various other connections to characters involved in Watergate including a CIA officer named John Paisley who was the CIA’s liaison with Nixon’s plumber’s unit. Bernstein also patronized a porn parlor run by a mobbed up pimp named Buster Riggin who was connected to call-girl operations located across the street from the Watergate.
