Tech Ping: Using BRAVE Browser. Problem With It Scrolling Too Fast. Fix?
Cannot find a fix for this. Am using WIN 7.
Anyone else run into this.
I love the browser but the scrolling thing makes it unusable at times.

Not sure what would cause that. I’ve been using it for a while now. My automatic reaction is your mouse is configured funny, but I assume you’ve tried scrolling in several other applications.

Chromium based browsers are rock-solid.
Unless you have auto-scroll enabled, scrolling should remain consistent.
On a mobile device you scroll with your finger anyway.

I have disabled my mouse pad and use a rollerball mouse. Have for years.

I’ve had that same issue with various browsers when I use my KVM switch to see another machine. When I go back to the original screen, scrolling is sometimes too fast. I can usually close and reopen the browser to correct, but sometimes I need to reboot to get it right.

I have been using Brave with Windows 7 for quite a while now. No issues at all with scrolling. The only setting (advanced) which seems to pertain would be “Enable Smooth Scrolling” which I have set to “off.” Maybe it is a mouse settings issue.

If he has a Logitech mouse, he can install the Logitech mouse smooth scrolling add-on to fix any problem with scrolling.

I have this "fast scrolling" issue as well. Seems like it happens if I "mouse scroll" fast. Scrolling via arrows does not seem to activate the fast scrolling, so that had been my fix. I will try what you recommend.
And I do continue to recommend Brave as an alternative to Big (political) Tech.

They sure do, I just ordered and received three.
Go to their website and search them, both with or without cords.

I use the Logitech cordless optical trackman. They go for about $400+ on Newegg.
I paid $60 for mine ten years ago when they still made them.
Best mouse Ive ever had. Hope it lasts forever.

Try clicking on the bar,not the arrow. That usually stops it for me.
