A monsignor who worked at the apostolic nunciature to the United States has corroborated an explosive report accusing Pope Francis of rehabilitating Cardinal Theodore McCarrick despite knowing of his record of homosexual abuse of priests and seminarians.

Contacted by the Catholic News Agency (CNA), Monsignor Jean-François Lantheaume, the former first counselor at the apostolic nunciature in Washington D.C., declined to give an interview, but affirmed the veracity of the report by Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò.

“Viganò said the truth. That’s all,” he wrote to CNA.

And it’s going to have the same impact as all those truthful stories about Hillary. Which is zero impact. Hillary is still a free woman and Frankie is still the pope. I don’t see that changing for either one.

What will happen with all of this?

I confess to being as impressed with Francis as were so many when he first came on the scene.

As he seemed tone deaf to everything going on in the world, I thought he might be naive.

As tone deafness descended into apparent heresy, I pretty much lost respect for him.

When it became apparent that Francis wanted to shed Catholics from the Catholic Church in a way that made the Archbishop of Canterbury look like a piker, I wondered if the gates of hell would start to prevail against her...the Catholic Church, that is.

Is this the straw that breaks the camel's back? Maybe it's way later than time for Francis to go.

In the old days, the Jesuits would have captured Lantheaume and tortured him until he recanted, as they did with the anabaptist leaders. For that, we need an apology from the Pope, who has shown more concern for illegal aliens.

Much like USA had to suffer through obama to get Trump, Catholics must suffer through francis to get a real pope.

Maybe Saint Malachy was right and he’s the last pope.

Does our current Clown Pope have the savvy to see this isn't working and move on.

I'm starting to believe that Benedict resigned because he was threatened.

Is Archbishop Vigano too old to be Pope? Installing someone like that would go a long way toward the cleansing process.

These are false prophets, pushing a false doctrine and having that revealed to the world. Would be prudent to understand that.

He’s too old, but moreover, he is now seen as the enemy to many. Here’s an excerpt from an interview he gave before he left Italy.

https://www.theamericanconservative.com/dreher/catholic-cold-war-turns-civil-war/

“Monsignor, do you know what they will say? That he wants to take revenge. That he is eaten up by resentment for having been dismissed from the governorship and other events. That he is the raven who brought out the Vatileaks papers. They will say that he is unstable, as well as a conservative of the worst kind.”

Vigano responded:

“I know I know. But I do not care. The only thing that matters to me is to bring the truth to the surface, so that a purification can begin. At the point where we are there is no other way.”
