Thursday, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) told reporters it was likely President Donald Trump will fire Attorney General Jeff Sessions after the midterm elections.
Graham said, The president is entitled to an attorney general he has faith in. I think there will come a time, sooner rather than later, where it will be time to have a new face and a fresh voice at the Department of Justice.

They are hoping for the dems to take the house then impeachment will begin. What they are trying to do is influence the President into NOT firing Sessions BEFORE the midterms.
The President needs to fire Sessions immediately!
Exactly! They are begging him not to fire Sessions now. After the midterms they will think of some other time to fire sessions. What they are hoping for is to protect sessions through the midterms and for the dems to take the house and impeach.
No, you have no proof. If that rat bastard offered to resign, I would stake your life on it that Trump would have accepted it.
Qook? Cruzhole? or both...
You have the correct take.
Fire them all—the entire coup cabal. Let’s get this party started.
And Sessions for dereliction of duty?
“So imo, Sessions could redeem himself either by appointing a new SP to investigate all the other candidates...”
I don’t want Sessions appointing a special counsel, I want him to fire everyone at the DOJ and then OFF HIMSELF.
Trump needs to appoint the special counsel himself.
Trump has been running a very sophisticated sting operation to take down to take down as many of the corrupt players in Washington.
Trump is a go big or go home kind of guy
If you look carefully, you can a series of actions that suggest Trump is gunning for the whole enchilada when it comes to taking down the Swamp
“Trumps going to pull HIS trigger when itll inflict the MAXIMUM damage on the most people who are in his way. He knows the time.”
Lot of surprised faces coming. That’s my friend Brien. We’ve been waiting as the day gros near.
Interesting, I had to look it up, but I didn’t know that POTUS could appoint a SP directly. I thought it had to come from the AG - who presumably works for and at the pleasure of POTUS. So I figured POTUS could order the AG to hire person X as SP and it’s the same difference either way. But turns out you’re right POTUS doesn’t need the AG he can just appoint an SP himself.
Grant, Coolidge, Teddy Roosevelt, and Harry Truman all appointed their own SPs.
I’m skeptical of this speculation, which is all it is. Sessions and Trump, I think, are putting on a show of acrimony. This leaves Sessions free to do his real work, booting illegals and busting up MS-13. Real news happens far away from television cameras.
Trump IS the executive branch. The big kahuna. The top AG...the reasons why we have elections.
Sessions will step down after midterms when the political writing will be on the wall by then, my thinking. Even he must know the position requires more than he’s been willing to produce and its better to not have “fired” on your resume.
They do at their own peril
Yes, of course you are right it makes perfect sense now that I think about it and you pointed it out... I just never thought about it until you said “appoint one himself”. Never happened in my lifetime, and generally you don’t think of the White House as being the Justice Department. And since SPs are used mainly when there is some kind of conflict of interest (like, internal investigations) you don’t generally think that POTUS would even want one.
Heck, in spite of scores of Scandals Obama never had one. He was treated with great political deference by nearly everyone.
But yeah, you are right. POTUS is The Man. The DOJ has a Cabinet Official at its head but the Cabinet reports to and executes the policies of POTUS. So of course, either way, Trump orders Sessions to appoint someone (identified or not) or he does it himself. The only real consideration are the political optics. One of the political reasons for giving the Cabinet some ballyhoo is that it enables POTUS to keep the appearance of arms length.
But of course, when I read a few months ago some on the left and some idiot journalists talking about “checks and balances, not interfering with the DOJ, obstruction of justice etc” I laughed because of course that’s a crock. You cannot obstruct yourself. DOJ is an executive agency and reports to POTUS. It is part of the Executives’ checks and balances power, and not a check and balance against the Executive. It is not a branch of government, it is an agency at the discretion of the Executive.
So again, of course you are right, it should have been obvious to me all along! I knew POTUS could give a direct order to the AG but just never occurred to me he could simply do it himself over the head of his own AG if he wanted to.
You mean that Lindsey winsey had a hissy fit?
I would hope the word CRUSH in its physical form will be used after the mid terms

They also know that if Trump goes, the revolution at the ballot box will take out all the RINOS. That’s if we don’t end up with CWII. There will be so little left of RINO seats that no one will bother doing a deal with them or cutting them in on anything.
Exactly. It's long overdue. Either Sessions leads or he get's out of the way, and by the way at this point I have no trust in his ability to lead anything. He is like some of the perfumed princes of 4-star generals I have known who couldn't march a platoon across the parking lot.
It is absolutely essential that we pick up four or five seats in the US Senate, if President Trump is to be able to carry out his agenda without daily assault from an Obama deep state populated DOJ, choke full of Trump haters who come to work everyday with the intention of bringing President Trump down. Every single rabid Obama political appointee from the Obama regime should be cut off at the knees.
