Thursday, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) told reporters it was likely President Donald Trump will fire Attorney General Jeff Sessions after the midterm elections.
Graham said, The president is entitled to an attorney general he has faith in. I think there will come a time, sooner rather than later, where it will be time to have a new face and a fresh voice at the Department of Justice.

I will stay away from a specific date. But I think it is greater than a 50% likelihood by now.
You all might want to read a very long thread from Stealth Jeff on Twitter today for another point of view.

Oh, it ends this way -
“Trump’s going to pull HIS trigger when it’ll inflict the MAXIMUM damage on the most people who are in his way. He knows the time. You don’t.
He’s a vindictive SOB but he’s *our* vindictive SOB.
I’m not worried & you shouldn’t be either.
/end”
“Or maybe he’s signaling Mueller that he might as well finish his “investigation” because his days are numbered.”
Bingo.
Senate republicans said publicly that they wanted the Mueller investigation wrapped up before the midterms. Sessions ignored them. This is another warning for Sessions to act now.
The first thing Trump would have to do is issue an executive order that completely reorganizes the DOJ. Get rid of this nonsense where you could ever end up with recusals or terminations that automatically cede authority from the U.S. Attorney General to a deputy. This is how Sally Yates of all people ended up serving briefly in the acting AG role in the Trump administration. Rosenstein shouldn't even be fired. He should simply show up to work one day and find that the office of the Deputy AG doesn't even exist anymore. It was never established by Congress anyway, so it can be eliminated from existence with the stroke of a pen.
Why speak out publicly about the possibility now?
What purpose does it serve?
It may motivate the anti-Trump forces spmewhat but that's about all.
President Trump absolutely must execute a summary firing squad upon Sessions, Mueller, Rosenstein, etc., immediately after the midterms!!!
The corrupt, seditious swamp needs to be drained and the rule of law and order reestablished at the DOJ and FBI asap!!!
Fire him now, the reaction of the MSM and the back stabbers in DC will force all of them (GOP) to recognize the will of the deplorables BEFORE the election.
There, Somebody has to say it for the discussion.
Some people literally pass their lives in misery knowing that their only purpose in life is to serve as a punching bag for Donald Trump. Chuck Schumer would be a perfect example of this.
Waiting util after the election is not exactly removing Sessions "now".
They're still telling Trump to wait.
I would not bet any $$$ on that which I can NOT afford to lose.
SOMEONE is putting together all those sealed indictments. THAT may be the October Surprise.
If they say “yea” I would say “nay” because they cannot be trusted.
The AG is an executive branch position. Graham always has to butt in as if he runs everything when in fact all he runs is his mouth.
Perhaps Mitch and Trump have made such a deal.
Translation:
‘Even though I’ve been threatening Trump against removing Sessions and Mueller for the past year, now that mueller is going to issue his impeachment report to congress I don’t want to be tarred and feathered for my part in it. ‘
Fake news. Mueller will be done, one way or another and Sessions will no longer be recused.
Firing Sessions before the midterms might gain a few votes.
Who is the 3rd or 4th in charge at the DOJ right now? Maybe Trump already maneuvered a good guy into those positions. Who is the District Attorney for the Eastern District in neighboring Virginia? The guy who replaced Dana Boente? He could be the temp who runs the DOJ for awhile.
I don't care who is in charge as long as they do the job right, and not zealously and improperly prosecute Repubs because they don't like their politics. I don't think it is rocket physics. :)
"I like the way you think"
I suspect that’s the only reason Graham and Grassley are openin their mouths about this at all. The RNC has probably seen some internal polling numbers suggesting that a lot of Trump supporters are pissed off at the useless A-holes in Congress right now and may not show up on Election Day.
