A registered Democrat and Bernie Sanders supporter has been beaten up by left-wing militants for carrying an American flag at a protest rally.

Paul Welch, a 38-year-old self-described 'slightly progressive leftist' took the flag to the Portland rally earlier this month in a bid to 'take it back' from the conservative movement, according to Oregon Live.

The Oregon man joined hundreds of counter-protesters gathered at City Hall when he was approached by two Antifa activists who demanded he drop the'fascist symbol', ripping it from his hands and leaving him recoiled on the ground with a bloody wound to his head.

In this case, anytime dirtbag Antifa thugs beat a person simply because they are holding an American flag...it will only embolden them.
Criminals like that must be captured, fined, and serve time in prison to help them reconsider their path in life.

Reminds me of the Spanish Civil War. At one point, the left thought it had won (and it pretty much had with Soviet support before the Nationalists began getting offsetting assistance from the German leader). So one group of leftists started the consolidation process by standing another group of leftists up against the wall for a last cigarette.

You need to think of the big picture. An emboldened Antifa will chase more of the moderates into the counterrevolutionary movement, while alienating intellectual leftists that lack the stomach for the violence and who will move to the sidelines.
