This is a bold experiment for the university and me to see whether the ideological spectrum can be broadened in a serious and constructive way
If this is any indication of how our universities are so off base as to educating our young.....is it any wonder that our Constitution is nearly invisible...our laws are in jeopardy...our young are being brain washed as to their history. it is sickening...just sickening.
They got a Conservative from Berkeley?
Berkeley Conservative. Like hiring a newly “treated” patient from the mental asylum.
English department.
Ergo, not even close to a real professor.
Maybe years ago, but not now.

Nothing very wrong with that as long as books are also assigned that are supportive of Trump. Of course we all know that won’t happen.
Side story: A lifetime ago I took a course on Soviet politics. The professor assigned “The Gulag Archipelago”, by Solzhenitsyn. But he also assigned a book (I forget the title) that kinda defended much of what Stalin did.
For example, that book pointed out that during the Bolshevik Revolution, the West intervened on the side of the monarchists. American troops were even involved for a time. That sort of thing - the book said - helped make Stalin paranoid.
I’m not saying I bought any of that. But it was nice to be presented with both perspectives. You won’t see that in colleges today.
The course code is TDS101
That professor should not be allowed to teach a class. Students go to the university to learn, not to be indoctrinated.
Can you imagine if a professor assigned pro-Trump material, without balancing it out with opposition anti-Trump material?
This guy sounds like he’s trying to influence the Fall election. Must be a Russian.
“If this is any indication of how our universities are so off base as to educating our young...”
Kerry and his America Haters and Armed Forces Haters came from the new kind of college in the 60’s. From there colleges are nothing but indoctrination centers for the “hate America” crowd and now have become tools (and fools) of the Democrat party along with every other vile haters of man and the masculinity that comes with a real man. There is no turning back for it is a one-way street in which you travel in only one direction.....right to the front door of communism and socialism. It’s too late to do anything about it for all the younger people want a feeling of belonging and some type of perceived importance. To stand alone with your beliefs is “verboten” in today’s new world. I only think God that I do not pass on my children to live in the world that is to come.
“The University of Colorado at Colorado Springs course is taught by professor Katherine Mack, who is also the chair of the university’s English department.
The required reading material reportedly claims that people should challenge the Trump effect” and also label the president’s supporters as prejudiced against minority groups.”
Sure, no problem. I’d read them...then I’d review them.
No, I read that that he went to Berkeley on his next "assignment".
The University of Colorado at Boulder is known at this house, as Berkeley with snow.
Here's a review of it, out of Boston, no less:
These kids should start a class action law suit demanding the faculty at these universities knock it off.
They’re running up big debts, and here this jackass is monopolizing their time with political statements and mind games.
I'm pretty sure that in the 1970s, the English dept took the hit on all the hippies with PhDs, courtesy of their fellow travelers already overflowing the soc and polisci depts.
Most parents are paying the bill for their children's tuition.
