I listened to it and had the opposite reaction.

I heard Sessions say how important the rule of law is and that he fully supported it.

That doesn’t square with many of his actions and lack of actions.

According to Greg Jarrett, Sessions cited an incorrect statute as reason for his Mueller investigation recusal. Jarrett further stated there is no statute that required Sessions to recuse himself at all. How then is this following the rule of law to the letter?

Levin, DeGenova, Jarrett (and others) have repeatedly pointed out that the law states there must be a crime clearly stated before a Special Counsel can legally be established. As none was declared, this then is an illegal investigation. Yet Sessions allows this illegal activity to continue, in defiance of following the rule of law.

These are just two examples.

Or, he is just a sanctimonious, self-righteous, stubborn little prick.

He feeds his selfish desire to be AG, at the expense of God’s anointed POTUS and its patriot citizens. He will have to be drug out.

The midterms will clearly define whether this nation will sink or swim. If it swims, watch Sessions be kicked the hell out the door faster than a New York minute....right along with the rest of his fellow traitors. (at least, I hope and pray for this!)

“He is committed to restore the rule of law and the moral order of our judicial system. He wants the judicial system to stop being used to advance political agendas and thus weaponized. And, he wants to re-establish respect for the DOJ.”

When is he going to start?

I am not going to watch the video because I already know what he will say. He will speak with an almost divine voice. He will say the right things, he will bring in utopia.

But he will never actually get around to do the right things.

If we lived back in the day of our country’s founding, when we really did have a 1st Amendment, citizens would be truly free to write how we REALLY feel, lol.

Sessions IS the insurance policy. Who is it who refuses to appoint another special counsel to investigate the real crimes? Sessions allows Rosenstein to block any investigation other than Trump!

Rosenstein was appointed by Trump himself.

Sessions had to recuse himself. I read a newspaper article that made that clear.

If Sessions gets fired, his deputy Rosenstein will control everything.

The RINOs and ‘crats will block a replacement.

Trump and others shouldn’t blame Sessions for recusing himself as required.

Sessions probably should have been left as an Alabama Senator and another lawyer made head of the DoJ.

Trump needs to bring in the Citizens United lawyers and fight Mueller on a First Amendment basis - drop your nonsense or all campaign finance laws will get killed off.

Sessions is no different from McCain, Schumer, Rosenstein, Mueller, Obama, & Clinton.

Fine Don’t fire Sessions. Reassign Rosensweasel because of a laundry list of possible conflicts and high possibility of malfeasance. Name a white hat interim pending a review of RR’s activities. This will break Muelllers back and this person can start up a real spygate investigation.

Like he said in this speech...
There sure are a lot of people who know how to do his job better than he does.

Curious, did you support Trump putting him in there in the first place??

Prediction... All the Sessions haters here on FR will have a change of heart before 2020.

Maybe, I know I have in the past...
I Also know I was not the only one that thought our Republic was lost for good after Obama was elected for a second time... Was that all hyperbole or was it serious?? Because if it was serious, like I thought it was, pretty silly to think it could be fixed in 2 years time. As corrupt as Washington was when Trump took over, he has worked miracles in less than 2 years, but the economy has been. If they show their hand and make arrests when the courts are controlled by judges that will just negate the charges then we have done all this for nothing...

I read that Trumps favorite book is the Art of War, in it, it says you win the war before you even start it. To do that you follow a specific plan and timeline that is controlled by events on the ground more than actual dates. I imagine a lot of games, political and otherwise in a military operation. There is a reason all we are hearing about is corrupt Republicans, our own house is being cleaned up first and the corrupt Democrats will drop late Sept. and on into the October surprise...

I am not slamming anyone who does not slam me for distrusting Sessions. I simply opine:

At the very best, Sessions is a Institutionalist, not a Constitutionalist: an ELITIST. He seeks to protect the institutions that are too corrupt to deserve it.

He was/is in the SES since 1988: Swamp Central.

He defended tbe Bundy prosecutors, whose case was thrown out with prejudice!

I ask you in turn to think long and hard on how this man views laws as only applying to common people.

He has violated his Oath, by abandonjng authority over non-recusal issues, and by stonewalling Congressional oversight.

Those are not his prerogatives - period.

Sessions cited the wrong law, at the behest of disingenuous Obama shysters. No, he did not have to recuse. He did nothing wrong - until he illicitly recused.
