Me too. Trump understands where the real battlefield is - the hearts and minds of voters in flyover country - and he’s winning.
He is not being distracted by this pseudo-legal battle over DC swamp - this battle of narratives over which side is corrupt - these two versions of crimes against the state. All of this is a distraction either created by Trump or at least cultivated by Trump.
Trump is not getting impeached for Russian collusion (which didn’t happen and isn’t even a crime), and Clinton, Obama, etc. are not going to jail for their attempted deep state Spygate coup (which DID happen and IS a crime).
This pseudo-legal battle is being ginned up to look like a race to see whose legal team can “get” the other first. Hannity’s tick tock and Mueller’s show trial witch hunts - both are irrelevant and will go nowhere.
Trump is a genius. He continues to create fake battles and let his enemies think they are on the verge of impeaching him.
He very likely has instructed his DOJ to stand there and take punches, get beaten bloody to prolong the Mueller witch hunt and maintain the illusion. He very likely “misspoke” about Putin on purpose. He very likely tweets “carelessly” to provoke the Left and it’s MSM propaganda machine into yet another fake battle. He very likely leaked the Pu$$y grab tapes himself.
Meanwhile, he is elsewhere, winning the real battle.
You make it sound like Trump is pulling all the strings and part of the theatrics.
I don’t agree. I think there is a real battle going on, and Trump is the only one on our side getting his hands dirty in the fight. As a result he has to pick the battles carefully. I think so far he has done masterfully. But make no mistake, if justice is not done, if the rule of law no longer applies, then a very bloody end will result.
