Are you telling me that a that a business owner doesn’t know that an 18 year old who can’t speak English, with no high school diploma shows up with a shiny new Social security card ( let’s assume they didn’t provide it for him ) and your too dumb to know he’s illegal... no way.... not buying it. I do wonder what he was paid/hr did he file taxes? Did he get a W2? these are good questions... bet you a lot of money we’ll never get the answers.
I am not making any judgement on the business owner yet. But whatever occurred will certainly get the spot light now. So if it was a hole in the system, that should get addressed. If it was bad action on the employer, he should be charged.
This will certainly be investigated after all of the publicity this case has gotten.
