Gold Star parents, Billy and Karen Vaughn have issued a scathing response to retired Navy Admiral, William McRaven, who recently penned a snarky Washington Post op-ed, defending former CIA Director John Brennan and insulting President Trump for revoking the former director’s security clearance.
President Trump’s official statement about Brennan’s clearance states that the former director lied about the Trump administration and exhibited “erratic” behavior.
McRaven, who was commander of the U.S. Joint Special Operations Command (US JSOC) from 2011 to 2014 and oversaw the bin Laden raid, targeted Trump in his op-ed, writing, “Through your actions, you have embarrassed us in the eyes of our children, humiliated us on the world stage and, worst of all, divided us as a nation.”
McRaven defended Director Brennan as a “man of unparalleled integrity” and wrote, “I would consider it an honor if you would revoke my security clearance as well, so I can add my name to the list of men and women who have spoken up against your presidency.”

McRaven’s statement the other day astounded me. I knew him not as a personal friend but when he commanded NAVSPECWARCOM.
Ryan Zinke was his Chief of Staff of Deputy at the time. I was not a SEAL but a US Army Green Beret that did a lot of liaison work with WARCOM at the time. I will bet there are many SEALS active and former that are disgusted at this display of politics by a senior Naval Officer. Sickening. De Oppresso Liber
Sadly, too many promoted to leadership during the Mullah Obama's days are suck ups. The mine was salted. Lots of good senior officers were turfed out for being "disloyal", if I recall.

No one should be defending Brennan any more than defending a former private sector employee who sells company secrets for profit and favors.

Can’t he see he’s just joined the losing side? Why would any “intelligence professional” side with unelected, unaccountable, deep state operatives against an elected President?
WTF does Brennan think he is? There’s already large pool of distrust for the CIA, NSA, and intelligence in general, and here’s someone who is supposed to be a quiet, neutral professional, going crazy against an elected leader. to many it proves the CIA is a threat to our Republic. Its treasonous.
Why would McRaven join that?

The facts have shown that Mr. Brennan is a bad actor. To defend him as you have makes us wonder if you are possibly posturing for something significant? Maybe the nation should take a closer look at your motives, sir, as we have been forced to do as a family.
In addition, while we were being scorned for discussing the shoot-down of Extortion 17, we were told repeatedly that we could be hurting operational security for those still fighting on foreign soil. But nothing, sir, could have caused greater risk to that community than what you’ve just done. As a matter of national security, what you just did is actually unforgivable.
You’ve made the statement that you would be honored to have your security clearance revoked by our President. If you’re truly a man who stands for what you believe, do the honorable thing and turn in your security clearance on your own. We’re all tired of the grand-standing. We’ve been listening to the leftists and Marxists tell us for years that if they don’t get what they want they’ll leave our country, but yep, they’re still here. Enough already.
I also recall Team Obama LIED about the flight data recorder being washed away by a flood. THERE WAS NO FLOOD. Why did Team Obama lie about this? Because they needed to make the TRUTH go away about this helicopter being blown up.
Team Obama murdered these SEALs because they knew something about the OBL raid we are not supposed to know. Was OBL already dead or not even in the compound? Where's video of OBL's burial at sea?
SOMEONE in our military under Obama needs to serve LIFE IN PRISON FOR PLACING OVER 20 SEALs ON ONE AIRCRAFT, AND AN AIRCRAFT THAT WAS COMMERCIAL GRADE (CH) NOT MILITARY GRADE WITH ARMOR (MH). THIS IS CRIMINAL!!!!!!
I will NEVER forget this tragic incident as long as I live. I think about the Vaughns and other SEAL families constantly. This is another Obama crime where justice has NOT been served!!!!
I think Admiral McRaven will come to regret this outburst!

POTUS needs to pull the clearances of ALL retired government employees who are not in sensitive positions in the private sector!
McC asked for PDJT to pull his clearance too and The Pres should have said, OK,fine,and pulled it. When asked by the MSM knuckleheads why he did it tell the fools that he asked him to.
Pretty simple.
It’s possible he violated the military code of conduct even though he is retired.
