Two teens who had been reported missing were among the four people killed and 54 people shot this weekend in Chicago, as the city's gun violence epidemic continued unabated.
The weekend tally was up compared to the same weekend in 2017, which saw 48 people shot and five killed, officials told Fox News on Monday.
Raysuan Turner, 16, and Darnelle Flowers, 17, were found Sunday night at about 11:57 p.m. shot to death in a field on the Far South Side of the city, police said. They had vanished day earlier, FOX 32 Chicago reported.
Earlier Sunday night, five people were shot after a weekly softball game in the Grand Crossing neighborhood. Police said a group of people had gathered for a game when a black van pulled up and someone in the vehicle opened fire. One of the victims was listed in serious condition, ABC 7 Chicago reported.
Across the city, the news of weekend shootings were coming in faster than police could get to the scene.

Imagine what it must be like working in a emergency room in Chicago even on a tuesday afternoon...and i’m not just talking about the patients.

Then I saw a report on FR of the 4th time a mall had been attacked by a teen mob.
That means people (of all races) were trying to shop or eat at restaurants with their children and were endangered.
If the prostitutes, pimps, home invaders, drug dealers, drug addicts, child human sex traffickers, dog fight trainers and gang members want to kill each other that is none of our business.
They cannot say they have never heard of the Bible and its teachings. And they are knowledgeable about the law (they can quote “you can’t transfer me there as a juvenile offender unless a bench warrant expired issued in this county first...”
There should be demands for law enforcement even in Chicago, or, total boycott by the good people.
The City of Detroit has had decades of that since 1967.I will never willingly set foot in Detroit. Many thousands agree with me but are not interviewed for slanted news reports.
I did 24 years in the army, some of my best friends were flight surgeons. The army used to send them and other doctors to Chicago for trauma training, especially treating gunshot wounds. I’m sure they still do it. It’s a great way to prepare them for combat trauma. At least that’s one good thing we get from gang violence.
Good thing that they have gun control.

What is the difference between “gun” violence and “violence” violence?
Why is said violence an acceptable standard in an American city?
Where are people pronouncing violence “evil”, and treating it as such?
Where are the investigations which might show collusion between crooks, police, judges, and politicians?

Imagine if this weekend’s carnage in Chicago were a school shooting. The media would be ranting non stop about how Trump and the NRA were the cause, David Hogg would be rolled out with his tirades and there would be new demands for strict gun control. However this weekend’s mayhem is a typical weekend in Chicago, a city with strict gun control laws. The media gives scarce mention of the Chicago killing zone, no one is blaming the NRA and oddly there is no further call for gun control in Chicago.
You never see the follow up - many of the shot are in critical condition and buy the farm days or weeks later. Those numbers are never reported by the left wing Chicago news media.
Are there any efforts afloat to repeal Chicago gun laws?
Based on what I’ve read, the shootings tend to take place in a small part of the city.
MOST of the victims are gang on gang shootings. No one is talking. Therefore, nothing is done.
In order to “crack down” on this you need to treat it like a war zone. You need stop and frisk everywhere. You need to plant people in the gang environment. There needs to be significant intel collected. People on both sides are going to die.
You need to get the money out, and make it expensive for the cartels to do business there.
This stuff is not difficult. But it is “dirty” and it is going to affect people of color. THAT is not politically viable.
Finally, its going to cost a fortune.
But now the crime is spreading to the high rent districts. Which is why Tiny Dancer is really feeling the heat now.

Look on the bright side ... per capita it is not as bad as some cities.
