Former CIA Director John Brennan said Sunday that he is considering taking legal action to try to prevent President Donald Trump from stripping other current and former officials’ security clearances.
Speaking on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Brennan said he’s been contacted by a number of lawyers about the possibility of an injunction in the wake of Trump’s move to revoke his clearance and threaten nine others who have been critical of the president or are connected to the Russia probe.
“If my clearances and my reputation as I’m being pulled through the mud now, if that’s the price we’re going to pay to prevent Donald Trump from doing this against other people, to me it’s a small price to pay,” Brennan said. “So I am going to do whatever I can personally to try to prevent these abuses in the future. And if it means going to court, I will do that.” […]

Watch as some Federal Judge grants an injunction like they have on almost everything our President has tried to execute under his authority as Commander in Chief.
I think the President should have done an across the board order that once you leave, you lose your access. That way, it wouldn’t have specifically targeted Brennan.
Why can’t there be a list of 75 people that support the removal. Good grief.

I had like of respect for Petraeus and you would think after what Obama admin did to him he would be supportive of this President. Obama and his officials ruined his career and yet he supports Brennan?

Per Twitter there is a 1988 SCOTUS decision that states granting of security clearances is the clear and sole function of POTUS in his role as Commander in Chief and that the Courts and Congress can not intervene!
If true then this is a precedence setting case that will scuttle any lawsuit by Brennan or others in getting there security clearances reinstated!

The President has sole discretion about hiring and firing in the the Executive Department, as well as in all matters concerning National Security he has the final word.
He should be encouraged to seek legal action and lay the matter to rest.
It would a great popcorn process to review his multitude of abuse of power and out and out crimes of omission as well as comission.
