New Poll Results Freaking out Democrats

The liberal mainstream news media have a narrative about Donald Trump and they do not deviate. The constant refrain is that the President is unhinged, idiotic, tyrannical and especially racist. Recently, the President was labeled a racist when he criticized CNN’s Don Lemon and NBA star LeBron James. Their latest obsession is the new book written by fired White House staffer Omarosa Manigault Newman.

In the book, Omarosa accuses the President of being a racist and using the “N-word” while hosting The Apprentice on NBC-TV. The President’s inflammatory language was supposedly captured on a tape that has been withheld from the public. Nevertheless, the show’s former producer, Mark Burnett, denied that such a tape exists. The President also tweeted that he doesn’t “have that word in my vocabulary, and never have.”

Despite the denials, the media will continue to focus on Omarosa as a way of damaging the President who they love to hate. According to the Media Research Center, the coverage of the President by the major networks has been extremely biased. At least, 90% of the coverage has been negative, much worse than the positive press they showered on Barack Obama.

In this toxic media environment, it is amazing that a new Rasmussen poll shows that Trump has a 50% overall approval rating. This is higher than Obama’s rating at a similar point in his presidency.

Among the findings is an interesting trend among African American voters. Despite the constant media portrayal of the President as a flaming racist, the August 15, 2018 Rasmussen poll showed that 36% of African American respondents gave the President a positive approval rating. In one year, the President’s African American approval rating increased by 17% in the Rasmussen poll.

This support level is much higher than recent Republican presidential candidates have received. In the last 50 years, the highest level of African American support was received by Richard Nixon in the 1972 election, in which he garnered 18% of the vote, according to national exit polls. Since then it declined significantly to a low of only 4% in 2008.

If President Trump can receive 18% or more of African American votes in the 2020 presidential election, he will score an overwhelming victory. Democrats are petrified of such a scenario, so it will be imperative for party leaders to continue their name calling of Donald Trump. Over the next few years, their constant refrain will be that Donald Trump is a bigot who hates African Americans.

Obviously, the Democrats will work with their ideological partners in the liberal news media to demonize President Trump and portray him as a cruel racist. It is a narrative that will soon ring hollow as African Americans start to enjoy the benefits of the Trump economy.

When more Americans find employment, all races benefit. In fact, under President Trump, the African American unemployment rate has reached a historic low. Since the President took office, food stamp usage has decreased, while home ownership and consumer confidence has increased. When there is robust economic growth, African Americans partake in that success as well.

With the President fighting bad trade deals that shipped jobs overseas, the result will be increased manufacturing and more factory jobs in the United States, benefitting all races, including African Americans. As the stock market has increased over the last 19 months, African Americans have seen their investment and retirement accounts increase in value.

A trend seems to be developing among African American voters who view Donald Trump’s policies as a better alternative than the Democratic Party policies that have led to misery and despair.

In every election, both parties should compete for all votes and no party should have a lock on the support of any community. Unfortunately, over the past few decades, the Democratic Party has taken the African American vote for granted as it has received 90% or more support.

As the urban areas of our country have remained under the exclusive control of the Democratic Party, the results have been horrific. In their communities, millions of African Americans must deal with a high crime rate, blight, gangs, drug trafficking, infrastructure woes, inferior public education, a lack of high paying jobs and extreme poverty.

If the President can provide a roadmap to prosperity for long suffering African Americans, it may start a genuinely constructive political process. True competition for African American votes may take many years to accomplish, but those important first steps may be starting right now.

The Racist rants of the Mainstream Media and the Dems. will be ferocious over the next two and one half months. They know if they lose a considerable percentage of the Black vote, they are history.

FDR gave 31 fireside chats between 1933 & 1944. That’s only about three per year (I thought it was a weekly or monthly event until I looked it up). But the three major radio networks CBS, NBC, & Mutual rebroadcast all of his speeches that were considered newsworthy giving him far more air time than the chats alone.

But neither newspapers or radio in those days were captive to the uniformly totalitarian ideology that grips the MSM today. A newspaper that was anti-FDR or anti-New Deal reflected the views of its editor or owner rather than conformity to industry-wide groupthink.

The genie is out of the bottle nowadays as far as sources of information. Corporate attempts to suppress conservative views will IMO not effectively shut down debate. And tweeting one’s thoughts of the moment becomes part of a permanent virtual archive. All that bigwigs like Brennan can reply is “harrumph-harrumph, I am a distinguished public servant so don’t you dare criticize me, you peasants”.

BTW I hope Pres. Trump swings the hammer and yanks the clearances of those 156 critics & more. What are they going to do, REALLY condemn him now?

Good ol’ Nate gave Cankles a 95 percent chance of winning tgecwhike House also, as I recall.

Nate’s math doesn’t apply in today’s Politics.

I told a kid who works for me the glee in which I told every phone pollster that I was a deep blue democrat who loved Hillary and all of her liberal friends, supported her positions 100% and that I am the epitome of a “very likely voter”. I suspect many of my conservative beathren did the same thing.

The kid was absolutely agog. “You can’t do that! You’ll mess up
their polls! You can’t do that!! IT’S ILLEGAL TO LIE TO A POLL TAKER!!”

Welcome to the big leagues, Kid!!

Omarosa became more of a liability than an asset to Trump after Trump got Candace Owens, Kanye West, and Kim Kardashian actively supported him.  Scott Adams says "Kanye West blew a hole in the universe" when Kanye (Ye) tweeted "I like the way Candance Owens thinks."

Omarosa, the Judas, could read the tea leaves and decided now was the time to pocket the silver coins, stab Trump in the back, and lead the "He's a Racist" parade.  The good thing we're learning is lots of Blacks absolutely hate Omarosa.  Meanwhile Trump gets rid of a White House bad apple -- and staff breathes a sigh of relief. Thanks General Kelly!

I give credit to Candace and friends for the big 36% Black approval numbers.  A mighty significant Walk Away is occurring.  Pelosi and the Dems are tearing their hair out... and the trend has only just begun.  GO TRUMP!

Partner, u got that right!!!

It could not have happened to a nicer bunch of folks like the Rats.

Rasmussen poll showed that 36% of African American respondents gave the President a positive approval rating. In one year, the President’s African American approval rating increased by 17% in the Rasmussen poll.

Wouldn't that then be a 112% increase? That is, if he went from 17% of black support to 36%?

BTW, the "African-American" nomenclature is stupid and assumes that every American black came from Africa.

“True competition for African American votes may take many years to accomplish, but those important first steps may be starting right now.”

Good article until the last paragraph. With all the free handouts minorities have gotten and the preferential entrance into schools and state jobs, if they aren’t doing well it is their own fault.

Don’t worry.

The Democrats will supplant the lost Black Vote with their newest Plantation addition, the Illegal Invader Vote.

If the Rats win back the House, we will just shrug our shoulders and reaffirm our belief that blind ignorance fed by the Educational and Media Leftist Institutions cannot be overcome at this point in time.

If the Rats fail to take back the House, the Rioting in the Streets will be epic.

Only Lincoln comes close. He also faced opposition from the Copperhead Demons and his own party and was constantly being torn between those two and the ordinary citizens.

One of our greatest tragedies in US history came when Demon Booth killed Lincoln. It cost the South immeasurably.
