Yep, all food raw. If it is cooked, it’s mine. I don’t give my dog “human” food, and the result is he never begs. He knows what is mine and he is not getting any, so that keeps him from turning into a begging dog.

Everything he gets is raw, but no bones because he has such as soft mouth. My last dog was a German Shepherd with stout bite force. He ate raw bones like I eat peanut brittle. Just snap, crack, crunch and swallow. His stool would be all white from the high bone content. Friends said he would choke on raw bones, but it never happened.

My current mutt has a very soft mouth so I only give him boneless meat. He gets kibble each morning, and meat for dinner about every other day. It is wonderful for his coat, and make his yellow fur a rich reddish color. I think regular raw meat is good for his health to.

I usually get whatever is cheapest at the store, like the discounted stuff that is turning gray. Heck, the nastier the meat is the better he likes it. LOL. I’ve let meat go bad in the fridge, and he thinks it is dessert.

Good grief. Filet Mignon should NEVER have gristle in it. I’ve never had one that did. I can’t imagine who blew that one. If someone didn’t trim the filet or if some other meat was mislabeled as filet mignon. Filet should be very lean. So much so that it is one of the weakest tasting cuts out there — which is fine with me since I flavor my steaks with a rub anyway.

was mislabeled as filet mignon

I suspect that's the correct answer. I think they just cut a chunk of beef shoulder roast to look the size and shape, then over cooked it.

That would be dramatically different, all right.
