Hundreds of newspapers nationwide pushed back Thursday against President Trump’s frequent attacks on the press and his assertion that the news media is “the enemy of the people.”
In a coordinated campaign, the newspapers — from Massachusetts to Hawaii — released editorials calling on Trump to curb his rhetoric about the news media. While presidents have long complained about the press, none went as far as Trump in his public derision. Trump often repeats the same words to describe the media — “dishonest,” “disgusting,” “fake,” “opposition party.”
“We all — as citizens — have a stake in this fight, and the battle lines seem pretty clear,” wrote the Miami Herald’s editorial board. “If one first comes successfully for the press as an ‘enemy of the American People,’ what stops someone … coming next for your friends? Your family? Or you?”

We have the NRA.
You can be a propagandist or a journalist. You can’t be both. The American people know that the Media never reported fairly on the Obama administration. There were no honest inquiries into his scandals such as Fast and Furious, the IRS harassment of conservative groups, his background,or his policies. The Media essentially were biased propagandists supporting his agenda. They treated Hilary Clinton with the same reverence and deference. During the past two years virtually all they do is Trump hatred.
The Media lost the trust of the American people because they have been rightly viewed as leftist propagandists. They themselves lost their credibility and cannot easily retrieve it.
When are the newspapers going to put forth a coordinated campaign to reform? Maybe they need a time out to study the difference between responsible journalism and the propaganda that they are spewing out on a daily basis.
The newspapers have totally dropped any pretense of objective reporting in their unrelenting hysterical attacks on more than 100 million citizens of the USA. The number of the forgotten men and women of the USA standing behind Trump is increasing daily.
The newspapers are drowning in their own spittle and excrement. Democrats indeed have disordered minds.
By the way this coordinated campaign is further proof that we indeed have a vast, LEFT wing conspiracy, and have had for a long long time!
I am offended that they call themselves journalists.

The media does not report Trump’s daily accomplishments.. where he is and what he is doing for the country...
They run him down with lies.. they get their talking points and there isn’t one good thing they say about our President.
That makes the media against the people.. against Trump.. and trying to undo an election..

20 years ago I thought the advent of Internet would expose newspapers; then they would be shamed into reforming. I was right about the expose but newspaper journalists have no shame. They just keep pumping out the lies and idiocy.

Fewer journalists have been harmed than Trump supporters.

The creepiest thing was that late on Election Night 2016, when it became clear that enough Americans had ignored the media and voted for Trump, the talking heads couldn’t stop professing how they would no longer ignore the “forgotten people” - AND THE VERY NEXT DAY REDOUBLED THEIR EFFORTS CONTINUING “OPERATION ANTI-TRUMP 24/7/365”. They’ve never let up since...

Rush has developed the opinion that it’s not Democrats vs Republicans any longer. He thinks it’s the media against the Republicans.
The media calls the Leftist shots now, not the Democrat party.
I think it’s the Leftists in the media against Conservatism, and this leaves the Democrats and Republicans many times on the same side.
Rush may be coming around to that viewpoint as well.
