Libel: While scores of Americans and national security analysts believe that fired White House aide Omarosa Manigault-Newman ought to be charged for recording Chief of Staff John Kelly as he let her go earlier this year, the Trump campaign isn’t waiting for the Deep State to do the right thing.
The campaign filed for an arbitration hearing against Manigault-Newman on Tuesday that could cost her millions in damages over allegations she violated the terms of her non-disclosure agreement that she signed in 2016 when she was hired.

I figured Trump knew a side of her we didn’t. Looks like we sized her up pretty good.

Frankly I’m rather astounded that she took a recording device into the White House and recorded conversations there. This would seem to me to be actionable.

Mens rea (no intent to commit a crime) seems a stretch. Everyone in that world knows that you do not make recordings in a SCIF. She knew. She did it. She has no defense.

Impossible. Leaving aside for a moment that Mens Rea -- the innocent mind -- is impossible to argue with her quite apparent motive, there is the issue that Mens Rea is not a defense against releasing secure and protected material. Manigault-Newman recorded Kelly inside one of the most high-security locations in the White House, she broke with established security protocols. This is certainly a breach of national security.
Furthermore, if she recorded THIS, what other secret, top secret, and eyes-only discussions are on her phone?

Still won't save her though, National Security violation law contains no need to be aware of your crime to commit it and have the prosecution thereof, stick.
It prevents National Security carelessness.
She and the rest of them need to be behind bars.
