Manchin maintains he will remain a Democrat, and will not switch parties no matter what happens. He’s also trying to run a positive campaign against Morrisey. Never mind how he says one thing to get elected, then does something else, and explains how he’s “bipartisan.”
Or, while we’re at it, why he took campaign donations from Michael Bloomberg early on after becoming a Senator. Heck, no one will remember in 2018, them there hillbillies in coal fields are stoopid and on pain bills and cookin meth.
Manchin’s campaign spots say it’s those wascally wabbits in the DC swamp to blame for the messes (pander, pander), and by gooogly moogily, he’s the one who’s trying to have us all get along.
To answer someone else earlier who posted about how Manchin’s family was not in jail, media outlets from Pittsburgh had to break the story on Manchin’s daughter and her non-work for a MBA. Ones inside the state did not touch the story, go figure.
