Antifascists, according to their own doctrine, fight fascism. Sounds simple enough.
Granted, members of the loosely organized Antifa movement define “fascism” vaguely — to include not just Nazis and neo-Nazis, but also white supremacists, white nationalists and the broader population of racists.
As for the fighting, Antifa takes that part of the doctrine literally. Claiming that even a small public gathering of fascists is a threat to freedom, the movement condones physical violence against them. Its anonymous, black-clad members routinely crash far-right demonstrations to brawl.
So — you might expect that when Antifa can’t find any fascists, it has nothing to fight. That seemed to be the situation this weekend, when a long-planned rally for far-right extremists fizzled into a paltry gathering of a few dozen white supremacists, unapproachable and nearly invisible behind a police blockade as they met without incident in a Washington D.C. park.
And yet Antifa still managed to fight — not fascists this time, but reporters

Well if its just you against a few thousand antifa types they will beat the crap out of you before you get a chance to fire.
If you did get a shot off you would be in a jail hospital healing for your trial and they would be praised as heroes for stopping you.

The problem is in the reporting! The MSM generally speaking is the enemy of the people.
It is my understanding Antifa and BLM are SOROS funded. A poster on Facebook, first Charlottesville incident stated the driver of the car was known to her and a Communist. No one vets the MSM on who the guy really was / is.

So we do nothing? Just let them riot and break stuff? Perhaps the “poor optics” from their activity are good enough, but I’m not so sure. The media calls them an “anti-fascist group”, when they are in fact a group of anarchist thugs who just want to break things. Why are they allowed to act with impunity? One or two may get arrested, then released when the cameras are off. Even the bike lock guy from last year got off with a slap on the wrist and he could have killed someone. He is a freaking teacher!

The Koreans in the Rodney King riots shot back and the looters backed away and found some other stores to loot. Antifa are fascist revolutionaries but they are not jihadis who have the prophet’s promise of paradise. Most are atheists and when faced with the end of life at 23 or 24 I doubt their first thought will be to rush the shooter. Now how the law reacts will depend on the jurisdiction but nowhere in the Common Law is it required to submit to a physical beating when you have a means of seLf defense and numbers of attackers and location make retreat problematic.
As I said, once the mob starts beating you (giving you a self defense-legal-defense in court) getting off a shot can be impossible.

Read the articles posted here about being attacked by a single bear. They are lucky to get off a single shot before the bear tears them apart.
Once you wake from your coma you may find the Antifa claimed you fired first and they were just being heroes.
Anything can sound easy posting anonymously and safely.
And anyone else they don't like. And who enabled that? The media created this problem, profited by the mess they'd made, tried it again, and it failed and left them in the tank with the sharks they'd attracted.
Yet still the media persist. The term for the current redefinition of "white nationalist" isn't "vague", it's "fraudulent". Who keeps printing it?
No real sympathy here. Part of this whining is an attempt to attain the illusion of objectivity by claiming that both sides are attacking them. If they're hoping that idealistic free-speech conservatives will flock to their defense, they're hoping in vain. It doesn't work like that. In Matt Bracken's memorable formulation, "You take a side, you're along for the ride."
Bears are lacking in fear of man. Antifa...???
