Bobby Goodlatte, the son of House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.), said on Monday he is “embarrassed” that his father’s “political grandstanding” cost FBI agent Peter Strzok his job.
Earlier Monday, it was announced that Strzok was fired on Friday after sending disparaging text messages about President Trump during the 2016 election.

Strzok, a frequent target of GOP critics of special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation, clashed with the elder Goodlatte during a hearing on Capitol Hill last month.
Bobby Goodlatte called that committee hearing “a low point for Congress” on Monday and thanked Strzok for his service.
Bobby Goodlatte said Sunday that he donated the maximum allowed to Democrat Jennifer Lewis, who is running for his father’s seat in the midterm elections.
“I just gave the maximum allowed donation to Jennifer Lewis, a democrat running for my father's congressional seat,” his son said on Twitter.
Goodlatte, 65, announced last November that he would not not seek reelection.

I forgot to add this.
My son the liberal was educated at UT Texas and University Las Vegas with several masters degrees. My stepson was educated on the battlefields of Iraq. Two tours as a combat medic. He saw bad on occasion and it was very bad. Oddly mostly Iraqi civilians and sometimes our guys. After the army my stepson has become an educated man. However, his best education was on the battlefield. He returned from the battlefield with rock hard convictions or right and wrong. He saw both.
Stark reality is a harsh teacher. I love them both, but if I need a man to have my back, it is my stepson. He is actually a very kind, gentle and gracious man but does know how to do violence. That is the man you want at your back.
