“Blow the whistle” I think is the key. Sounds like she plans to be treated as a whistleblower legally. I don’t see how that would work out for her. From what I understand it is a legal status that is not that easy to use.
She needs to be prosecuted for her security violations, they need to make an example of her.

Gen. Kelly did an excellent, textbook job firing her. Remember she was being fired for cause, yet he was nice enough to let her go without a fuss to protect her public reputation. And he protected his boss by keeping him out of it in the process.
I’m sure her hood pals and relatives (I am guessing only) could educate her quickly about their experiences with real imprisonment. Scratchy prison dress,someone doing a morning lice check,constant vigilance against guards who could rape the prisoner—not good things.
