President Trump questioned Saturday morning why the FBI had not provided conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch and others with text messages of former Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe, warning he “may have to get involved.”

“Why isn’t the FBI giving Andrew McCabe text messages to Judicial Watch or appropriate governmental authorities. FBI said they won’t give up even one (I may have to get involved, DO NOT DESTROY). What are they hiding? McCabe wife took big campaign dollars from Hillary people......,” Trump tweeted Saturday morning. “.....Will the FBI ever recover it’s once stellar reputation, so badly damaged by Comey, McCabe, Peter S and his lover, the lovely Lisa Page, and other top officials now dismissed or fired? So many of the great men and women of the FBI have been hurt by these clowns and losers!”

Making the government transparent would be obstructing justice. That might be an impeachable offense.

Bring the whole stinking house down Mr President.

We do not have an AG or GOP in Congress worth the name. Only you, Mr President, can save this nation from the dirty cops McCabe and Mueller

The institutions have no concern about reputation as being fair or honest. The only reputation that matters is the one enforced at gunpoint, and THAT reputation is intact.

As Wray says, there has been no allegation of wrongdoing by the FBI. Ergo, no basis for "good reputation" being tarnished in the least.

He'd have to find him first.

Will the FBI ever recover it’s once stellar reputation, so badly damaged by Comey, McCabe, Peter S and his lover, the lovely Lisa Page, and other top officials now dismissed or fired?

For me personally, the answer is no. It will never recover it’s reputation, but that’s just me.

Timing is everything here. I dare say there be just one shot at this. Plenty of time for an “October surprise”.

I do trust the President on every issue but this one. He seems to have rolled over and played dead on the issue of who is the boss of the Justice Department. I do not see a light at the end of this tunnel.

It’s reputation has NEVER been stellar.

FBI ...Famous But Incompetent

They show up with their cool windbreakers, after the fact, after the locals have done all the heavy lifting. With their multi-million dollar evidence trucks and that’s about it. They have the money and the resources, provided to them by the very same taxpayers they could give a crap about. When this all started, having worked with quite a few field agents, I thought all the corruption was at the top. But, when the IG report talks of an agent that accepted bribes, covered up crimes, lied to local law enforcement and obstructed investigations and WASN’T recommended for prosecution, I’ve had enough. They don’t do anything that can’t be done by other agencies. And quite frankly, they are more the, Jack of all Trades - Masters of absolutely NOTHING. Get rid of them. Give the agents that are left a chance to get on w/ another agency but they still have to go thru the whole process or find another line of work.

Think of the President as having a sum of money — political capital — that he can at times spend down and at other times build up. This President is genius at managing this account. The FBI knuckleheads chronically misbehave and by calling them out the President wins money to put in his account. He gets some personal consumption value by gratuitously bashing some folks, like LeBron James. This upsets people. I am among those who find this gratuitous spending regrettable.

In any event, this account has built up quite a positive balance. He is going to need every dollar. Iran is on the brink. Xi Jinping is suffering but steadfast. The Dems are digging the deepest hole imaginable and are so invested that they must go for broke. The list goes on. President Trump has few friends and adversaries everywhere.

The time will come soon to spend down some of this account with huge withdrawals. The President is taking on the world it seems. He must be bold and at the same time very calculating and deliberate. On this matter he right now needs to be adding to the account, not subtracting. His FBI adversaries are gifting him too much political capital for him to decline.
