Oh. Wait....

...the Brazilian Department of Justice (Ministério da Justiça), which performs each individual's mandatory background check (which is made prior every gun acquisition, and every three years after it is acquired, which allows gun confiscation at the discretion of authorities), have been forbidding almost every citizen from buying guns, based on the Executive Order # 5.123, of 07/01/2004 (Decreto n.º 5.123, de 1º de julho de 2004), which allows the Federal Police to analyze the given reasons for owning a gun, under which "self defense" is not considered a valid reason because there are allegedly sufficient public police officers to maintain nationwide security.
Thus, disarmament is effectively happening in Brazil, as are massive gun confiscations...
Ah but it wasn’t officially the government that did it so it’s acceptable.
How many people did Planned Parenthood kill in 2017?
The 68,000 people would still be alive IF they had had PRINTED PISTOLS: It is worth noting that both Disqus and Fakebook CENSOR any mention of a website, www.CodeIsFreeSpeech.com that provides FREE downloads of 3D-printable firearm blueprints. And, since Facebook logins are so prevalent for posting commentary across the Internet, they are very effectively suppressing this Forbidden knowledge almost EVERYWHERE. Please go to the website, download some or all 10 of the free blueprints, and then, repost it to your friends and across the Internet, to the extent you can. Strike a BLOW against Fakebook and judicial CENSORSHIP! Support TWO amendments at once, the First and the Second!
Putting these numbers together and extrapolating them into the future, it looks like an average Brazilian male has about a 4% chance of being murdered in his lifetime.
That’s 175 murders every single day.
Chicago peaked in 1992 at 34 murders per 100,000. So the whole country of Brazil is only slightly safer than the city of Chicago at its worst.
One million.
I love Michael Franks. Thanks for the link.
It doesn't appear that that did any good at all! A waste of police resources.
It was a very nice park located on one of the many hillsides (mountainsides?) around Rio and as we ascended the hillside the tour guide directed our attention to a nearby hillside littered with ramshackle shacks. She said it was a "favela" and that it was so dangerous the Brazilian Army doesn't attempt to enter it even in daylight!

Brazil has it’s fair share of race-relation problems.
Poor Blacks inhabit mostly the northern part of the country, and rich Whites the middle and mostly south. Rio is a complete war zone. But no they don’t kneel for their anthem before games ironically enough. LOL!
There’s a sizable community of Ex-Confederates there too. At least they don’t equate the Rebel Flag down there with “Racism”.

Favelas,,,
I remember seeing that as well.
I was there for an IndyCar race.
