Months after being dismissed from the FBI's Russia probe for misconduct, British intelligence operative Christopher Steele discussed being reinstated with a senior official working for Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, so Steele could assist special counsel Robert Mueller.
"Whenever convenient, I would like a chat, there's a lot going on and we are frustrated with how long this re-engagement with the Bureau and Mueller is taking," Steele texted Associate Deputy Attorney General Bruce Ohr on Aug. 6, 2017. "Anything you could do to accelerate the process would be much appreciated."
"Chris, good to hear from you," Ohr texted back as he proposed times when the two could discuss the idea.
The exchange - one of several in which Steele proposed a return to the Russia probe - has captured the attention of investigators in Congress and the Department of Justice (DOJ). Some of them told me they are stunned that a top Rosenstein aide would even consider restoring Steele to the case, and with good reason.
After all, Steele was paid by a firm working for Hillary Clinton's campaign and the Democratic National Committee (DNC) to dig up Russia dirt on Donald Trump. Then, in November 2016, he was deemed "not suitable" to serve as an FBI informer after being caught leaking information to the media.

Ohr was “not assigned to the Russia investigation and he was not in the chain of command,” Rosenstein wrote. “Any involvement Mr. Ohr had in this matter was without my knowledge.””
Looks like an attempt at a fire break.
So Bruce Ohr is arranging favours for Steele while his wife is working for Fusion GOS, which has been using Steele in its attempt to take down Trump on behalf of Clinton and the DNC. Influence pedalling in the DOJ and they think they are in the clear because Mrs Ohr received the cheques.
These people have lied at every step of the way in this manufactured scandal. The credibility of the DOJ/FBI is gone.
To these disgusting, unethical, and arrogant DC creatures, the populace and the voters are just obstacles to go around.

The Hill titles John Solomon articles as opinion piece when his articles are choke full of hardcore facts and very little at all to do with his own opinion. Even they don’t want the truth to get out there even though their own writer is producing journalistic evidence
Wonder if the profuse texts Chris Steele makes about arranging times for calls to Ohr are not calls as in, phone calls, but instead arranging times for radio transmissions?
And I wonder what he meant by “perishable opportunities?”
