And don’t forget the 110 violations of the espionage act where only gross negligence is required for a conviction. Apparently 110 time wasn’t grossly negligent enough for James Comey so I assume he would be perfectly OK with people driving drunk 110 times around his neighborhood

And you all automatically assume the charges are true? What timing!! How is it that Democrats never get indicted right before a crucial election?? Oh wait, I should change that to ‘Democrats never get indicted at all’. Especially in a heavily Dem state. Are the NY Primaries over or can we still field another R Candidate in this guy’s District?

Some Pubbies, including corrupt ones, in Upstate NY. This over in Buffalo and this guy won more than two-thirds of the vote in the last election. So the GOP ought to be able to squeak it out.

Wasn’t that based on info they learned from their position?

This guy I think got his from being directly on the board.

Can't say for sure. Maybe the guy forgot to tell his fellow thieves, umm, err, I mean, elected representatives so they could profit along with him.

"...U.S. prosecutors on Wednesday said Christopher Collins, a Republican congressman..."

LOL, if that had been a Democrat, we would have reached the end of the article and had to do Internet searches to find the State and party affiliation.

They had it in the first six words!

We can consult with Dinesh D’Souza...he says political prosecutions, according to the media and the Obama administration, NEVER happen in New York.

Well, the U.S. legislators are permitted to do insider trading and benefit from it. Why can’t state politicians do it, too?

Obama permanently corrupted the entire government.

Although I’m fine with prosecuting him, IAW law, I still don’t understand why having “inside information” is such a bad thing.

Happens in horse-racing, too, and they act like it’s so bad. But frankly, they still lose.

Only Conservative voices get banned from social media and only Conservatives get arrested. Anybody shocked?

Chris Collins was one of the first GOP Congressmen to endorse Donald Trump. That's why.

All he has to say is that he didn’t do it on purpose. Case closed.

I would not be surprised at all if this is a political (vs criminal) prosecution.

Collins' district runs between suburban Buffalo and suburban Rochester. He is an outspoken Trump supporter and, as a result, "The Buffalo News" despises him and looks for any excuse to bash him on the front page.

Collins is my congressman. Don't get me wrong, I am not for crooked politicians....but...

Collins was not one of the first Congressmen who came out in support for candidate Donald Trump, he was THE first one. Paul Manafort. Mike Flynn. Michael Cohen. Donald Trump Jr. You see a pattern here? If one were a tinfoil hat kind of a guy, one might say that being connected to Donald Trump is hazardous to your career, reputation and bank account.

All this while people like Hillary, Bill, Pelosi, Feinstein, Podesta, Comey,....well, nothing.

Just putting it out there.

Well the hell is the Trump DOJ investigating Republican Congressman for BS like “insider trading” (should that even be a crime?) in an election year!!!!?????

Collins was the first House R to endorse Trump.

This smells like horesfeces.
