County boards of elections reported that 3,435 provisional ballots were cast and there were 5,048 outstanding absentee ballots. State law dictates election officials cannot begin counting these ballots until the 11th day after the election, which would be Aug. 18.”

Some election rules are just insane. Whoever ends up winning this seat is going to sit it for about two months til it could change again.

The recently retired Republican Congressman from Ohio CD-12 won his 2016 election with almost 67% of the vote.

Balderson leads by less than 1% (1,800 votes).

There are 3,700 uncounted “provisional” votes - which usually skew Democrat - so this race is going to get even tighter.
