House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes claims that the FBI and Justice Department omitted ‘exculpatory evidence’ on Carter Page in spy applications.

Nunes is investigating the FBI and DOJ for possible FISA abuse.

The Republican also claims that DOJ official Bruce Ohr will become ‘more and more important’ to his investigation.

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes claimed Monday that the FBI and Justice Department failed to include exculpatory evidence in surveillance warrant applications against former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.

“There is exculpatory evidence that we have seen, of classified documents that need to be declassified,” Nunes said in an interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity. “Exculpatory in nature in what way? Exculpatory in what way?” Hannity asked.

“In that the Carter Page FISA when the judges should have been presented with this exculpatory evidence that the FBI and DOJ had,” Nunes replied.

As more information is made available it becomes more and more clear that the FBI and DOJ lied in their FISA applications.

A question - is there a legal requirement to include exculpatory evidence when requesting a warrant? I would think that is a matter for discovery. Using unverified info in the FISA warrant, and not revealing the source, to me is the most serious issue here

I’m not an attorney, but is exculpatory evidence” taught in your freshman
year of law school? FBI, DOJ, and FISA judge knew this.

It’s a secret court in which the target, an American citizen’s right against illegal search and seizure are not defended. Further, each renewal requires exculpatory evidence to be provided which it was not. Rosenstein is in deep doo doo along with the other signers.

The exculpatory evidence is that the FBI transformed Carter Page from assisting the DOJ to successfully prosecute a Russian national to becoming an agent of a foreign power by using his contacts from the time he was assisting the DOJ/FBI as evidence against him.

The most serious issue is the whole thing was a set up which DOJ jumped into to back up Hillary’s campaign accusations. I get tired of Hannity hyping every detail, which I think loses the big picture. Just my reaction.

**************

ALL the information CAN be available if Trump will only declassify most of what’s in the FISA docs. The American people need to know what went on and how the cabal plotted to subvert our democracy. That overrides any political or timing considerations in my opinion.

If some people...like Ohr and his wife.

Like Rosenstein, and Strok...or whatever his name is, Comey, Mueller....not go to jail...There will be a totally lack of justice...for the people of the USA.

Not to mention HRC...and all the BS stealing and lying...and Obama. ( I'm not dumb enough to know that Obama....will never go to jail...He won't...)

This all said....some people need to be going to jail.

And now the listing of the many ways the declassification should not take place. FReepers and the like, are too careful to actually do anything. Don’t rattle the libs. We should be exposing every crime and prosecuting to the fullest. Not waiting until 2078 when an, as yet unborn person, shall lead us.

Trump has the guts. Just not enough people behind him that will go that extra step.

Nunes was on Hannity last night. Nunes managed to answer three questions in an attempt to interrupt Sean.

Indeed. I thought that was supposed to be today. I’m SICK of this “tick tock” crap, or “Trump is waiting until closer to the election...” It’s LONG past time some of these people were taken to account and this witch hunt ended.

Serious crimes, if not treason, were committed. The evidence is there, and still intact. Nunes has been pleading with Trump to declassify it. The country has a right to know. There is simply NO EXCUSE for not releasing it.

It would be a great way to start the process of draining the Swamp which, despite all the promises, no longer seems to be a priority with the president.

Exculpatory in nature in what way? Exculpatory in what way?

Like many here, his repeating himself is maddening. I can't listen to him for more than a few minutes. He comes across as sharp as a bag of hammers.

FISA judge is ignorant of the evidence unless its presented. What Nunes is saying is they filed the FISA warrant KNOWING they had exculpatory evidence - that there’s no way Page could have committed the crime for which the warrant was presented to the judge.

It means there wasn’t sufficient probably cause, FBI knew it, and yet FBI/DOJ presented it as if there WAS PC.

And that’s a crime.

I think (but I am not a lawyer, I don’t even play one on TV) that they must include anything they know.

“I get tired of Hannity hyping every detail, which I think loses the big picture. Just my reaction.”

It’s the right reaction. Getting lost in the trees(details, 302s, blah blah blah) causes most people to tune out. Even those of us who follow the news closely.

The big picture—The O’muslim regime was a treason regime. We’ve had a massive conspiracy of high treason-—So many agencies were corrupted and turned into an enemy of the people under these marxists, maoists and muslims that controlled the executive branch for 8 years. They(Obama, Hillary, and our corrupt stasi state) tried to thwart the candidacy of Donald Trump and are currently trying to overthrow President Trump through the mueller coup.

Nothing short of treason trials and hangings on the national mall will restore the rule of law.
